Glenn Beck Urges Listeners to Leave Churches That Preach Social Justice

I'm going to post this every time this idiot uses the word.

A "neocon" is not someone who is merely a former liberal. A neocon is someone who is socially liberal or at best a-political when it comes to a domestic social agenda.

Neoconservatism is primarily about foreign policy and how to effect it.

All these definitions of "neocon" are wrong. A neocon is a conservative who has embarrassed the GOP in some way, and the GOP throws the label "neocon" on them in an attempt to distance themselves from the embarrassment. "Well, he's not one of us, he's a NEOCON." Do conservatives actually think their fooling anyone with this silliness?

Oh....

Funny thing is, time and time again, he admitted to converting to Mormonism just so he could fuck his Mormon wife.

He's not a Mormon and he's not a Christian. And he's not a Libertarian. He's just a dumb guy who realized he could hoodwink even dumber people.

Man I can see your point about convictions but personally to be honest I'd probably convert to another religion if it involved my really hot wife lmfao....She can deal with all the finer points like actually attending, believing and dragging the kiddies to whatever it is.

NeoConservatism - An article on it, might clear things up

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoconservatism

Back on topic.

The last paragraph really gives away Beck's state of mind:

Later, Beck held up cards, one with a hammer and sickle and other with a swastika. "Communists are on the left, and the Nazis are on the right. That's what people say. But they both subscribe to one philosophy, and they flew one banner. . . . But on each banner, read the words, here in America: 'social justice.' They talked about economic justice, rights of the workers, redistribution of wealth, and surprisingly, democracy."

Yeah, communists are the same as Nazis. Beck is loosing the last straw of sanity. Or he is just trying to see how far he can push his rants until the viewers will finally go away.

Hellraiser - I think I told you before - loose the trigger words for the sake of the argument.

Yeah and democracy and rights for workers is really bad:dunno: Maybe them nazi and commie loons had a point check in bros!

Oh, I wasn't criticizing him for converting or "finding God" to please his wife, I just hate that he incorporates that bullshit into his politics. He often quotes Paine and acknowledges that he was an atheist, his olive branch to agnostic Libertarians, but he loves injecting God whenever he can because he knows where his anti-government bread is buttered. I can't respect that.

Man your politics are pair shaped......My idea of a conservative would be hardline constitutionalists who advocate perhaps a more isolationist approach, Only venturing out when American interests are really under threat. Favouring home industries, Brands and maintaining a serious level of self sufficiency.

By definition a neo-con should have similiar goals with perhaps a change or too hence marking them as neo-cons....This change could be the isolationist view and I honestly do believe this was the case. They got this liberal dung probably because some clown thought it be a great idea to rip off socialism for more support. Hence the welfare policies etc. The only other similiarity and perhaps one thing you can say that is comparisonable with the Commies, Is like the Bolsheviks of old they wish to spread their ideals and are prepared to do so with military force. But they are not true liberals they are just like conservatives of other countries which main concern was maintaining power and prestige which unfortunately cant be achieved by isolation only difference is perhaps a moral superiority attitude.

In truth they are more conservative by the older definition which was around longer than the US than your original conservatives though having said that I suppose you can argue in the stricter sense if you go all traditional in regards to your own case.

PS> Enforcing ideals even if they are correct isnt exactly liberal.

By the way...EVERY church preaches some element of "social justice" when you look at it.:2 cents:

I can sum up every Glenn Beck rant...
......."unless you are paranoid, some one is going to get you, so when everyone is sufficiently paranoid, I'll tell you how to stop them getting you, for $24.95 in book stores everywhere".

Rey C.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
He's Donald Duck with a copy of The Constitution in his pocket.

Now THAT is funny! :rofl2: Rep for that.

Truly though, people need to remember that, like Limbaugh, Beck is an entertainer. When he was on HLN, I watched him. Since going to Fox, he's gone so far off the reservation that I don't waste my time anymore. The wingnuts love hyperbole and exaggeration, so that's what Beck plays to. But hey, that's what pays the bills... and it works, so why not? :dunno:

I looked through Hellraiser's recent posts and didn't see anything worthy of a ban. If the election of conservative-minded moderators who can't separate their political beliefs from their moderator duties threatens liberal-minded posters, than this forum is no longer a welcome place. There are members who get away with a lot more than Hellraiser. :2 cents:

All this could be alleviated if we could just get a sub-forum where us nutters can post in peace. :)

license to preach.

It's easy to say anything, but I'll bet you can't post where I call people the level of nasty names you seem inclined to do...as you often have nothing to say and substitute some invective for a reasoned statement...I don't have the same need as you to babble incoherently to cover a lack of thought...
Feel free to link to a ban-able post I got away with making.
As for ittie bittie tittie's statement he didn't find a post that is bannable, and bla bla bla...grow a pair and if ya are making a public accusation make it...name the mod and accuse them of a bad act...so what if you get banned?
You put it out there in public...back it up with facts.
Hellraisin has made super psycho posts as recent as this week, and I wouldn't let him babble on a corner of downtown Detroit as crazy as he's been getting.
You have no idea why he was banned, and it's none of your business.
But it IS welcome news...:nanner:

HellRaiser got banned? What for?

No less, 501c3s are a nice advantage to have, especially if you have big home fellowships. Not to mention a statewide fellowship where it is a community thing. Separate bank account to show where the money for the 'church' is; so there is no questioning about misuse of tithing/funds. It will be easy to look at records.

As well as it shows a legitimacy where no one can come in and make any false claims, try to shut it down, or any of that sort.

Just because you have a 501c3 doesn't mean a damn thing. It just means you are taking responsible steps to ensure the protection and credibility of what is going on in a fellowship. And not some money ruse and then next thing you know skipped town.

Don't hate on people with 501c3's unless you know for fact it's being abused by any particular individual/group; with proof. :hatsoff:
