HellRaiser got banned? What for?

No less, 501c3s are a nice advantage to have, especially if you have big home fellowships. Not to mention a statewide fellowship where it is a community thing. Separate bank account to show where the money for the 'church' is; so there is no questioning about misuse of tithing/funds. It will be easy to look at records.

As well as it shows a legitimacy where no one can come in and make any false claims, try to shut it down, or any of that sort.

Just because you have a 501c3 doesn't mean a damn thing. It just means you are taking responsible steps to ensure the protection and credibility of what is going on in a fellowship. And not some money ruse and then next thing you know skipped town.

Don't hate on people with 501c3's unless you know for fact it's being abused by any particular individual/group; with proof. :hatsoff:

Which is unBiblical.

Also, it means they can if they wish tell you what to preach and what not to.

The government isn't going to come in and do any thing. You file taxes don't you? That connects you to the government. Unless you evade them.

And where does it say to have nothing to do with government in the bible? Where it pertains to us, that is. Being New Testament. I know it says pray for leadership, kings, and all that sort.

Pray for those in leadership so they make sound decisions and in general keep us in peace. No matter who is in there. Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, whatever!

Either way, 501c3 is nothing wrong. Don't abuse it and there will be no problems. People been under that since it began and have no problems. Because they run it honest and don't abuse it.

We are to pray for all. I mean, who would you not pray for? Those who are evil? They are the ones who would seem to be better with the (and to be prayed for) prayer than those who already know what prayer is and the benefits.

Also, you take one piece of scripture, strip it out of context... no. It doesn't work that way. Read the whole chapter and get up to it. See what it actually means. At that time!

The only time that it says don't worry is when God knows those people are so lost, they gave themselves over to the filth and lusts of this world, that they chose their own destruction. There is no going back.

Stop taking scripture, let alone scripture in Old Testament, and using it to condemn. There is no condemnation! Be blessed! Be Kind! Do not judge!

Just walk in love and grace; forgive! Show mercy. It's all about love and mercy. There is no mercy in judging. That is condescending attitude that people do not respond kindly to.

We are to walk in a light where others see. Not a dark voice where you make people cower and feel ashamed. What will that get you? Answer: Nothing.

Whether you are 501c3, government, alone, just an individual reading the bible, I don't care, whatever. We are all humans. Flesh and blood. Love one another. We all have our own walk; sure. In the end, we all want to be loved and be treated nicely.

Stop taking scripture out of context to judge others. It will get you nowhere. Plus it is abusing scripture in a way it should not be used.

If the election of conservative-minded moderators who can't separate their political beliefs from their moderator duties threatens liberal-minded posters, than this forum is no longer a welcome place. I don't know anything about the Hellraiser situation so I can't comment on that but sometimes I do wonder where some of these people come from.
