Girl Spreads HIV Then Posts It On Myspace

how is that murder? I'm not saying it's ok, i'm just saying by that rational RJ reynolds is adolph hitler. having unprotected consensual sex with someone is no different than smoking a cigarrete knowing the risks involved.

I think this individidual is a pretty shameful human being, but the truth is that the man didn't care to ask or bother thinking about the risks, so he's just as bad. all this misogynist sentiment is a little biased and misplaced.

I sure hope when I grow up I'm as smart as you.:glugglug: Thanks for all the advice.

No problem. I just hope now you can try and re-establish that friendship. It may be too late for to apologize and make up, but it does not hurt to try.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. :dunno:

If I said I could pick up a city bus and would like to throw it at a bunch of kids at a day care center. Would that not show an attitude or character you would want to avoid? Or, would you want to be my friend? Would you really believe you had the ability to reform my views on that or anything else that went against your better judgement?

It is illegal to knowingly pass a sexual disease on.

Don't think it is murder but it is illegal as you are knowingly harming someone.

It is also our responsibility to wear condoms (strap on) as she said to protect ourselves.

Don't be a fool for a 10-15 minutes fun and contract HIV virus for life and suffer from it !

1. HIV virus do kill same as SARS virus. So it may not be murder but it is lethal to pass a germ that can kill to another person through sex. This is no difference than Hepatitis B or C which can cause liver cancer and you eventually die !

:glugglug: Great post!

It takes two people to have "sexual intercourse".

cheers,

I disagree with that. It is not and will never be the same. Being stupid and disregarding risks against your own health, is absolutely not the same as knowingly putting someone else's health or life in danger.

Yes,

But the other person has a responsibility too.
You have unprotected sex with strangers - in this day and age, well, you're going to have to be responsible for the consequences.

I'm not saying what she did was right - I'm simply saying that the blame/responsibility lies on more than one shoulder here.

I still don't agree with that. He has a responsibility towards himself, that's true, but it is fully up to himself to live up to that responsibility. She had a responsibility towards him, because she was the one with knowledge of her disease, and as such she cannot just disregard it, because it affects others. Had none of them known about her having AIDS, them I'd look at it differently, but she knew fully what she did and what it could mean to his life.

Many people act irresponsibly or put themselves in danger from time to time, but I do not believe that a person's stupidity justifies a crime against that person. And as such, though he should have considered the consequences, I think that she is the only one to blame.
I just don't like the whole "blame the victim" mentality, when people say that the victim should have known better and as such "had it coming". The victim should perhaps have considered what might happen, but there's quite a difference from that and to actually blaming the victim for a crime committed by others.

Please see the first paragraph titled CRIMINAL LAW;

synopsis;

CRIMINAL LAW

(1) Exposure of another to HIV (see Definitions (4)) is a criminal offense. A person commits the offense when the person is infected with HIV and knowingly engages in the following activities: intimate contact with another (see Definitions (6)); transfer, donation, or provision of blood, semen, organs, or other potentially infectious body fluids or body parts for transfusion, transplantation, insemination, or other administration to another in any manner; or dispensing, delivery, exchange, sale or transfer to another of any nonsterile intravenous or intramuscular drug paraphernalia (see Definitions (6)). It is an affirmative defense that the person exposed to HIV knew that the infected person was infected with HIV, knew that the action could result in infection with HIV, and gave advance consent to the action with such knowledge. The defense must be proven by a preponderance of the evidence. Actual transmission of HIV is not required in order for a person to have committed the offense. Criminal exposure of another to HIV is a Class C felony. § 39-13-109.

Put it in a different context. Would I sell you a car with brakes that fail after 1000 miles? (without telling you)

Rent you an apartment with lead paint and asbestos in the walls?(and kept quiet)

Show you the Deja gallery without labeling it such with transsexuals? (hah!)

Yeah, I need a car but false advertising is illegal/immoral.

Of course I'd like a place to lay my head but dammit, the place is lethal.

Dude, this girl is hot.. .DUDE THIS DUDETTE IS A DUDE!

P.S. Its only a Class C felony?!? Even if he doesnt have the disease that could easily be attempted murder in .. *some* people's views.

if someone passed is on intentionaly, they can go and rot in the depths of hell. I will not tolerate those kind of sick disrespectfull actions. Just thinks off all the people that it affects, not just the person you gave it to.
but...
I will feel a bit of remorse and sympathy if someone passes it on by accident
