Game of Thrones

Let us not deny that she only got famous for sucking dick and showing nudity in Dutch movies, I mean, I saw an interview on public tv over here and she basically said the exact same thing.

So? There's nothing wrong with that. That's a legitimate way of getting famous, it's not like she should be ashamed of it.

Yet another who mistakes talent with just showing tits and sucking some cock.

Who said anything about talent?
I haven't seen her in anything other than "Game of Thrones", so I can't really form a judgment about how talented she is. Have you?
If an actress is comfortable with nudity and wants to cash in on it and/or get famous, that's fine by me. Why would you want to diminish her accomplishments after she has succeeded in that? If you think it's that easy why don't you just get naked and land yourself a role on "Game of Thrones"?

Good episode, especially the fight, was glad to see the viper chose a reach weapon over a sword. Anyone else have flashbacks to "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die."

Good episode. Especially pleasing were Arya pissing herself laughing when The Hound realized he could no longer ransom her to the late Lady Arryn, and the handling of Baelish in the aftermath of her death. Which was much better than what they did in the book.

"That minstrel killed Lady Arryn!"
"OK, known liar that just got here yesterday, we believe you."

IMAGINE
No comments about Missandei's nice boob shot?

But when Danaerys started combing her hair, it gave me hope that they will fuck before Season 4 ends. We already know that Missandei is not interested in cocks (why else she would be courting Grey Worm?) so maybe she has a taste for pussies.

That was difficult to watch. I knew the end of the fight wasn't going to be pretty, so I prepared myself for some gore. That was about what I expected, and probably as much as I can stomach. I'm not complaining. It served its purpose, but I hope the show never gets that gruesome again.

You really have to hand it to them for the realism sometimes. Blood dripping through the floor boards at Mole's Town, the Iron Born Commander aspirating blood, Oberyn's teeth scattering on the stone when the Mountain demolishes his jaw, and so on. The show's producers certainly are dedicated to their craft.

A few random observations & reflections:

1. They almost seemed to "tease out" the stuff between Grey Worm & Missandei just to set up a major contrast with the gore at the end, like combining eroticism & death. It's almost Freudian.
2. The ending aside, the sequence with Nathalie Emmanuel made my freakin year. Holy crap, what a sexy woman.
3. I too liked Arya's gut-busting laughter at the Bloody Gate. It was a much needed relief, considering the show's characters usually only smirk when someone dies (e.g., Cersei), not smile, and the "good guys" certainly don't laugh often.
4. Sansa just became somewhat interesting, pretty much for the first time in the series, IMHO. She seemed to mature about 5 years from the last episode to her initial manipulation of Little Finger (that's just what I think is happening, so nobody jump down my throat). She added to the sexiness in this episode, although really it was only a tease.
5. Jorah should have come clean long before this. He had to know it would come to light.

Stiffy: In the books, wasn't he banished for loving Danaerys, not for betraying her?

6. Good God the North is big.
7. For all the success of the show and the epic high quality of this season, I have to believe the actors are probably a little disappointed by the huge loss of screen time lately. It was one thing for Yara to make only a 5 minute appearance last season, but Rose Leslie has hardly had any face time, and neither have many of the others. As the story gets larger & more complex, it seems they're going to get to see less and less of themselves in the scripts, and I don't imagine they much favor that outcome.
8. So is the Mountain dead? Oberyn was called the Red Viper because he treated his blades with poison. One would think the Mountain would eventually succumb given how many times Oberyn stabbed him, but maybe they'll decide to go a different direction in the show?

9. From the last episode, the sequence where Dany has Daario undress and then casts her gaze downward to the parts of him she really wants...you just know that's going to be gif'ed and all over the web.

Not exactly. When the true identity of Ser Barriston is revealed (he had been masquerading as "Arstan Whitebeard" until they got to Meereen) and Dany flies off the handle at him for serving the usurper Robert Baratheon after being sworn to her father, Selmy drops Mormont in it by revealing his role as a spy for the crown. Dany orders the pair of them to lead the most dangerous part of taking Meereen assuming both will die. Neither do, and when they are brought before her, Selmy pleads for forgiveness and throws himself upon her mercy so Danaerys forgives him. Mormont insists she should be asking him for forgiveness and she should be grateful for everything he's done for her, and says he's done nothing wrong. For this insolence on top of no longer trusting him, she banishes him, even though she doesn't want to.

Wow, that really is a page out of Plato's Apology. I thought Tyrion's speech at his trial was rather Socrates-esque, but Jorah (in the books) resembles it even moreso.

Thanks.

Dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway: When was the last time the bad guys lost and the good guys won?

More so than the gore (and that was bad), ^ what you said there is what has been most disturbing and sickening about the story far, it's like Martin gets off on it. Might as well cut to the chase and root for the white walkers. I was going to change my username to red viper, so much for that.

It was nice knowin' ya Tyrion but I think that's it for me.

Its sucks but the bad guy always gets away in reality, If you're rich you're untouchable, its always been that way.

Wow. Just wow. That did end up pretty fucking gory. Pretty repulsive ending, but still a great fight. Bleakest day yet for Tyrion.

Sansa, though. I agree she just got interesting. Her recount to the lords of the Vale only seem to reinforce how her experiences have shaped her to this point. And that she has Petyr to lead her further down this path.... SHE might be the one sitting on the Iron Throne one of these days.
