That is like comparing a phone call to a text message.

Chat rooms are instant, you type a message and get one straight back.

Forums aren't instant, people slip in and out of threads, so sometimes you won't be able to have a proper conversation.

Also, you won't run the risk of going of topic. Chat rooms you can say whatever you want.

Chat rooms are only for certain things. The main one been old men trying to lure young girls to meet them. (Oh by the way I really am only 19 any ladies out there want to chat.) So LadyLove, KittyKat, Minidog would be busy :1orglaugh

Or it could be used for our good Doctor to find fresh victims for his experiments :eek:

If you want to chat get MSN messenger or Yahoo messenger. If you don't want to do that, then use the slower method to talk to another member Private Messages. You can even group talk with all these opitions. So why would FreeOnes need a chat room

I think this forum is good enough its just like a chat room.

I'm also glad it won't be happening. As heated and crazy as things get on the boards, I can only imagine how volatile it could get in chat. A huge headache for mods and admin.

I once suggested a program that people could use for this purpose, but it was never really used by anyone. :dunno:

Okay, it was a crappy program, but it did offer IM for some random chat with anyone who logged on to it.
