Four killed by moped-riding 'neo-Nazi' outside Jewish school in Toulouse, France

You would feel better if someone were stabbed, or run down? Maybe beaten with a ball bat? A person intent on doing violence, will do violence. You can't escape the will of a madman. But you can draw your weapon, and put 2 in his chest, and be judged by a jury of your peers, and found not guilty, because you exercised your Constitutional right, to defend yourself.
Madman are few in numbers.

But guns can will make the basic average offender step up from stealing cellphones to car-jacking ad attacking local stores.

Good Riddance although shame he can't be quizzed for intelligence and made to face the families of his victims in court

* Mohammad Merah is dead after vicious gunfight
* Hid in bathroom and then came out 'shooting madly'
* Two police officers injured, one seriously, as they stormed his flat
* Decision to seize him 'came after he threatened to kill police'
* Had broken out of Afghan jail in 2008, was being tracked 'for years'
* Has Uzi machine gun, Kalashnikov assault rifle and other weapons
* Three police officers wounded as they tried to arrest him yesterday

WHY DIDN'T FRENCH POLICE STOP AL QAEDA FANATIC SOONER?

Questions are now being asked as to why Toulouse terrorist Mohammad Merah was allowed to roam free for so long.

The French-Algerian had been on a French security service 'watch list' since 2008.

And, since the first in the series of attacks, he was placed on a list of possible suspects alongside his older brother Abdelkader.

But little was done to trace them until the Jewish school massacre.

Mohammad, a member of a small extremist Islamist group run by his brother that security services believed was 'harmless', was arrested by U.S. authorities in Afghanistan in 2008 and sent home to France.

But he travelled back to the Afghan-Pakistani border last year.

His brother is currently under arrest, suspected of helping, or even masterminding, the attacks.

I wish he was caught alive : comiting suicide he thought he was dying a martyr and he has 72 virgins to greet him in Paradise.
But if these guys are caught and sent in jail for the rest of their lives, they will spent years feeling ashamed and miserable. Also, I am sure the other convicts will a guy who's murderer kid a very special "greeting"...

All I was saying is that the frech papers I've been reading had mentioned the hypothesis of a right-wing fanatic.
I didn't said this hypothesis was the truth or even the most reliable.

Well it sure showed they were wrong, and you sure said I was reading the wrong papers.

Al Qaeda fanatic shot dead by police had sick video of himself executing victims saying: 'You killed my brother, now I will kill you'

* Mohammed Merah died from shot to the head as he fired Colt .45 at elite troops
* Police found him in bathroom after gaining access with explosions
* Two officers injured to add to seven victims already dead
* Terrorist splinter group claims responsibility for killings

...You buy a gun to protect your and your family from thieves and murderers. The bad guy knows you have a gun so they buy a bigger gun. So you buy a much bigger gun. Etc...

"Now, you better git yo stank asses up outta here before I cause a nuclear holocaust up in here, fool!"

*Sorry for the interruption. You can all go back to arguing now.

No, he knows you have a gun 'cause, since guns are available, everybody has one. Because, since guns are available, everybody fears somebody will get one and attack them. Allowing people to carry concealed weapons is the first step of the arms race.

Sam, your logic is so foolish and misplaced, it's really hard to believe. Are you for real?

And the fact that you spout this nonsense in this particular thread is incredibly disrespectful and downright absurd.

Can you not grasp the fact that most of the regulars have placed you on Ignore?

Are you bi-polar? One day you're shitting all over me, and then the next day you send me a message apologizing and saying you are gonna lighten up. Now today, you're right back to the smart-ass attitude. WTF, dude? You act as if you and everyone else are the only ones who can post their thoughts, ideas, beliefs, etc. But, if I do it, you have a fucking conniption fit. Take your medications. Life is too fucking short.

Oh, and if most everyone has me on ignore... then what exactly is the problem?

I guess that means, pencils misspell words, and spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat....

How many actually kill someone yesterday ?
Whatever the number you would answer, this number is as many reasons to have gun-control laws.

I guess that means, pencils misspell words, and spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat....
Pencils are MADE to write, not to misspell.
Spoons are MADE to eat, not to make someone fat.
Guns are MADE to kill...

I apologized for telling you to fuck off as I should not have - that's all. I've apologized to others here in the same manner in the past when I feel that I'd taken things to far. But this has nothing to do with that at all. Forget that - look past it. Understand? Or call me bipolar. I don't care.

But also, focus on the here and now - you've shown tremendous disrespect by posting pro-gun nonsense in a thread featuring a story where innocent people were murdered in cold blood. That shit has absolutely no place in this thread - none. It's ignorant. And know what else? Cowardly.

I realize I'm no the one this is directed at, and I do to an extent see your point. It wasn't the threads original intention, but don't you think the people that complain about guns, and how evil they are, in this same thread, are also showing disrespect to it's original intention? Lets face it, they like to push their agenda at every opportunity too.

No, guns are made to shoot...they can be used to kill, and unfortunately, often are, but they were also designed to hunt, and for sporting, and for competition.
If you take a look at history, knives and edged weapons came after clubs....all designed to kill. Cavemen weren't packing heat, nor were the knights of the round table. The Medieval era, was some of the bloodiest times in history.

Not at all.

Sam Fisher got the ball rolling in the third post in the thread. Did he express sympathy? No. Any indication that he felt sorry at all? No.

Rather:

I wonder if France allows its citizens to own and carry firearms.

The 'anti-gun' comments after that were all posted in response to him. He continued to spar with others even as these awful events unfolded.

However, regardless, no I don't think that anyone who posts against guns would be showing disrespect. Promoting open and easy access to instruments of death in a thread which discusses the very recent murder of innocents by gun is, quite simply, twisted.

I disagree, 2 wrongs don't make a right. I would also point out, Sam asked a fair question about firearms ownership. His first post NEVER suggested the victims should have been allowed to throw down against their attackers. In fact, if you go back, you will see, people jumped on his case, for asking that question, suggesting that guns are the problem, and not the criminals themselves. In fact, I would bet most people reacted as they did, because it was who it was. If Georges, a strong advocate for firearms, and a member that openly suggests shooting "scum" with a S&W 500 magnum, as a solution to the crime problem, no one would have been as aggressive. They may have disagreed, but not with the same viciousness.

It appears we were both editing our posts at the same time, or I misread yours initially.

revidffum, I agree that Sam's question could be considered 'fair'. However, not in this particular thread. This is my point.

I never claimed Sam was suggesting anything. I contend that he dropped that phrase in his third post to start trouble.

Please refer to:

Note that Sam Fisher created all of these threads subsequent to his third post in this thread (all in the span of a few days) to draw attention to himself and this 'cause' of his.

I'm not going to get into a debate (particularly in this thread as I regret getting involved in the first place) about criminals being to blame vs. guns. It's pointless. The fact is simply that launching a pro-firearms debate in this thread was a terrible thing to do.

Edit - I'm willing to bet that Sam Fisher is reading through these posts with glee.

Fair enough, were done in this thread, out of respect to it's original meaning, and context.
