MAKING A MOVE

We're in the final days of Round 1, and things have really tightened up. Most contestants seem to only be moving 1-3 spots at the most, and unfortunately, any moves great than that have been in the wrong direction. Here's what matters in the lists:

• While they are STILL either advancing or holding steady in all other categories, Spexy Ashleigh slipped a spot to 9 and Tegan Brady slipped 2 spots to 13 in the Best OCSM category, proving that they are, in fact, human after all.

• Due to the fact that Terri Jane keeps bouncing (figuratively) from 31 to 35, there appears to be a great deal of volatility just outside of the top 30 in Best Newcomer. Will this change now that Sexy Venera has entered the picture by moving up 4 spots to 34? Can either contestant break free and claim a spot in Round 2?

• Sexy Venera is also up 2 spots to 36 in Best Adult Model. If she keeps up this pace, she could qualify for Round 2 in 2 categories.

• Where there is Bella Bellini, there is Brianna Frost- it seems that these two are destined to go neck and neck right up to the end. Not only have they been fighting each other for the last spot in Best Cam Girl for the past 7 days, but they are also right next to each other (103/104) in Miss FreeOnes. Just for the record, Bella currently leads Brianna in both categories.

• Rebekah Dee is up 3 spots in Best OCSM to 49, but appears to be stuck at 67 in Miss FreeOnes. Moving up 17 spots in 3 days is very difficult, but this is Rebekah Dee we're talking about, so it's far from impossible.

• Stuck at 52 in Miss FreeOnes, Vanilla DeVille, gorgeous goddess and FreeOnes posting extraordinaire, is extremely close to advancing, but appears to need a final push to go over the top.

Open Question: Today's open question is inspired by a statement made by frequent thread commentator, Bobjustbob.

Tegan Brady 26 (+2) Solid in her position but I think a tease girl can only go so far and won't make it to round 3.

Beyond the obvious variables, such as name recognition, posting habits, etc., with regard to this or any multi-category contest, do certain candidates encounter limitations because of their primary affiliation? For example, do you think it is harder, the same or easier for a typical adult model to perform well in the contest when compared to the performance of a typical cam girl or pornstar?

I've had a bonzer idea! In addition to my regular posts, I'm going to do something a bit different this year: every several hours or so until the end of this round of the contest, I'm going to be updating each category (spots 27-35) and Miss FreeOnes (spots 45-55) in order to make sure that anyone who visits my thread will have up to date information about who is in and who is out.

As it is currently 9pm here (according to the FreeOnes clock doovalacky it's 8pm though), and this round of the Miss FreeOnes contest (please tell me if I'm wrong) is set to end at 11:59:59pm (Wednesday, December 1) PST, that's a total of approximately 45 total hours. MAKING A MOVE

Moves are still being made, some moves are determining who stays in the contest and who becomes an observer, other moves are showing the relative strength of fan bases and making a good showing for some contestants. Here's who is doing what and going where today:

• Congratulations to Vanilla DeVille who, in a final push, moved up an astonishing 9 spots to 43 and now appears to have safely made Miss FreeOnes Round 2. Well done, Vanilla!!!

• Bella Bellini is up a spot in Best OCSM (48), 2 spots in Miss FreeOnes (101), and up 3 spots to 27 in Best Cam Girl, where she is on the cusp of assuring herself a place in Round 2. (It's still too early for me to presume.)

• Up a spot each to 27 in Best Adult Model and 18 in Best Newcomer, Samantha Wise appears to be gearing up for a run in Round 2.

• Making a good show of it, Sexy Venera is up 6 spots today in Miss FreeOnes to 217.

• The bottom qualifying spots in the Best Newcomer category seem to be up for grabs. Terri Jane has fallen another spot to 36; however, Sexy Venera is up another spot to 33, and Australian Chloe Conrad is up 3 spots to 34. Can any of these contestants put the heat on Dawn Marie and Gina Mond?

• In what could be considered a troubling sign for a perennial Wallaby favourite, Dors Feline has slipped 1 spot in every covered category (Miss FreeOnes, Euro Babe, Cam Girl, Adult Model, and Best OCSM) that she entered. Though she is in a comfortable position to advance to Round 2 in all of these categories, she cannot be pleased with her moves today.

Open Question: Everybody wants to be or at least vote and barrack for a winner. Other than your favourites whom you consistently vote for, is your vote influenced by a person's current ranking either in the contest or in FreeOnes?
