• After a strong initial showing, it looks like Ariella Ferrera might be starting to fade. Does Colombia's sole representative in this year's contest have what it takes to climb back into contention or even make a strong run towards Round 2?
  
  
• Several days ago, I stated that, "Lacey Black and Wanda CWH are absolutely surging in almost every category. These huge moves in only 2 days are an amazing testament to their burgeoning popularity." Well, apparently the voters have determined that Lacey Black and Wanda CWH aren't finished moving. On average over the last 2 and a half days, Lacey Black has moved up an average of 7 spots over 5 categories, while Wanda CWH has moved up an average of over 20 spots 4 categories. Wow....
  
  
• Samm Rosee continues to slide: she hovering around 200 in Miss FreeOnes; fallen out of the top 50 in Cam Girl; and fallen 7 spaces to a dangerous #40 in the Newcomer category. Personally, I believe that this helps to confirm what I stated earlier about Bianca Brazil- if you're not going to be a contributing part of this board, don't expect to perform well in the contests.

I know what you mean. I realize that a number of people might've thought that the previous contests were too long, but considering an ever-increasing number of contestants and the sheer volume of votes, having a contest that's only 10 days does seem to have caused a lot of wild swings. Also, along with any difference in voting by country/continent, I'd be interested to know how the change in voting time is affecting voters (i.e. since the voting day is based around US Pacific Time, does this give North American voters an advantage during peak usage hours?) Personally, I think there are advantages to both vote timing systems, the 24-hour period clock we previously used as well as the standardized clock we're now using; however, there should be a way to hybridize them to get the best of both systems. As for the fluctuating positions themselves, there's always the argument that a sustained voting push throughout the contest will make a difference, yet I'm inclined to agree with you: I remember there was a contestant in years past that was on the cusp of advancing within a couple of hours of the end of round 1, but thanks to a difference in voting (for whatever reason) over the last hours of the contest, she finished in 51st place, just outside of qualifying.

As we close in on the last 2 days of the first round of the contest....

• Unless there is a really large upheaval in the voting, I think we can assume that the top 40 contestants in each category are safe for advancing into Round 2. The real question is about #41 to 60- which 10 will make it into Round 2, and which 10 will miss the cut.
  
  
• Keen observers will notice that I have started following Lolita Borgia. Yes, for the sake of continuity, I will still be following Samm Rosee until her contest is officially ended; however, I thought it only right and necessary that I follow an Aussie that actually contributes here at FreeOnes and on my thread.
  
  
• For those concerned about placement in Miss FreeOnes, the last 2 updates have seen Bianca Brazil move up and down exactly 12 places, suggesting that there is a lot of fluidity in the 190-210 range.
  
  
• Misty Anderson continues to advance in the Cam Girl category and Adult Model category and finds herself tantalisingly close to advancing to Round 2. Can she climb the extra places in 2 days?
  
  
• Moving up 13 places in the Miss FreeOnes contest, Samantha Wise seems to be building momentum. Hopefully, this momentum will carry over to the Adult Model and Best OCSM category, where she has the best hope for advancing.

• With 1 day left in the contest, I'm counting the top 45 contestants in each category as being 95% safe. Furthermore, it seems like many voters are choosing to specialize their votes for certain contestants in certain categories in order to maximize the effect of their votes.
  
  
• Elle Alexandra has fallen 6 places in the Miss FreeOnes contest and is perilously in 50th place. Thought she has been in the middle to high 40's for the entire round, this is the worst possible time to be flirting with 50. Can Elle make it safely into Round 2?
  
  
• In the Cam Girl competition, Samantha Wise and Anna Song made the 2 most substantial moves, with Anna Song now in a position to advance to Round 2. Though they are still a few places away from the top 50, there's still a chance for Misty Anderson and Samm Rosee to qualify.
  
  
• Lacey Black continues to climb in the Adult Model category, showing that she is a force to be reckoned with. Just as interesting is the logjam fighting for a spot in the top 50: Samantha Wise, Misty Anderson, Wanda CWH, and Lolita Borgia are all within striking distance of the top 50 and carrying momentum.
