In my second year of college I had some trouble dealing with the "brave new world" that I'd been thrust into. So a professor suggested I read Orwell's Animal Farm. I skipped classes for the next couple of days and read it. I'm glad I did. For better or worse, and hopes for a truly "fair & equal" state of being aside, I believe this is where we are now, and this is where we have always been. Only the actors (by gender, race, religion, etc.) have changed - the parts have not. The only thing going on now is who gets to play the part of the pigs in Act 2.
it's not about feminism.... nice guys finish last because, most of them, lack confidence and, for that, they dont treat themselves nicely. thanks to this concept, it's easier for man to judge others by being "douche" or "assholes" then to treat themselves. 90% of the guys that say that eat themselves of jealousy when they see a guy who is well dressed, who's a fit guy and confident. i know this because i had that mentality! girls go for confidence... they dont go for insecure. it's not about feminism. for those guys who are always "crying" saying "I'm such a nice guy, that's why i'm single" i tell them to man-up... make something for you and take care of u before u take care of women. start looking sharp, being fit, gain some confidence along the way (that's automatic), start going out with attractive friends (same sex) so you can see what they do that attract girls. i don't say "become your friend".. but improve yourself by watching others. if you have a great friend who you can count on and it's actually a "ladiesman" dont be afraid of asking for help.

I think you're thinking of radical Feminists and the more extreme (not to mention insane) forms of Feminism.
You may wish to research something often known as "sex positive Feminism" which tends to emphasize a woman's right to enjoy her body (emphasising for example that both stud and slut are both words for a person who enjoys their body, yet only for the female does this carry negative connotations.
Some Feminists even approve of porn, pointing to statistics showing that porn lowers rape rates.
Others say that prostitutes are the ultimate Feminists; they get paid to get laid.
Still more say that men and women can remain equal while fulfilling traditional gender roles because while the stereotypical roles are different they're equally valuable in that it takes two halfs to make a hole

This might go bit off-topic, but since something about parenting was mentioned. I remember hearing about researches of criminals and connection to parenting in their childhood when I was in school. What would you guess was the most likely reason in childhood to cause a person to become criminal or mentally retarded? I cannot confim anything, but those researches implied then that whetever father was criminal, drug user or never home had minor or no real connection, but if mother was bad mother, drug user or criminal, that was major trigger for increased chances of a child to grow into a criminal/mentally ill person. Another question to ask where I don't know answer, expecting that all that was true, how would you think that this would relate to lesbian or gay couples or in some sick form of femisim? Just sharing some random thoughts...

Unfortunately, popular feminism has become just another whiny social movement that seeks to strengthen its group by weakening another group - not so much by making the members of its group truly stronger. Whether it's post-modern feminism or radical feminism, many/most(?) feminist ideas are based on the concept of special treatment for women, not equal treatment - and that is exactly why I oppose it. One of the most blatant examples of this is in a sport that I dearly love: auto racing. While I have no issue whatsoever with women being auto racers, I feel that they should be held to the same standards as male drivers. But we have this curious person, who has never won a professional road course race in her entire life, D@nica Patrick, still being touted as a potential Formula One driver (F1 represents the cream of the crop in the world of auto racing - the "Harvard of racing", if you will)... at the ripe old age of 31. By the time most drivers hit 31, if they haven't made it by then, their chances of being anything but F1 test drivers (at best) have vanished. We all know that if her name was Dan Patrick, no one would even know "his" name or care anything about "him." Danica has parlayed her gender and her sexuality into an over-hyped and very lucrative career, built not on accomplishments, but on her having a vagina. And if one criticizes Danica, one can expect to hear the same tired (rehearsed?) lines, calling you a "misogynist" (how many times a day can people use that word before it loses all meaning???). Want to see a female F1 driver? Someone should start working with Simona de Silvestro and get her to GP2. She's a racer, not a girl racer - and that's how she wants it. But she needs development and training to get better. IMO, promoting the weak or incapable simply degrades the whole. Deciding who is deserving and who is not, based on what society (or the forces of political correctness) wants to see, instead of based on merit or accomplishment, doesn't seem like a smart way to go to me. Yet, here we are. Fixing past wrongs with present day or future wrongs seems just as stupid, IMO.
I believe in helping any and all to get equal opportunities. But what one does with that opportunity is up to them. What we have now is a push to socially engineer desired results, based on superficial factors (like gender, race, religion, sexual preference, etc.). I do not believe in feminism. I do not believe in Zionism. Sorry, but I just can't bring myself to believe that anyone is more special than anyone else. And if that way of seeing things has become the modern definition of bigotry, then I guess I'll just have to sit at the same (kids') table with our "pal", Sammy Fisher. I think feminism has killed the nice guy to a certain degree. Everyone here has heard of OKCupid right? Well, one of the matching questions they use is a "nice guy" question that goes something like "Courteous behaviour from men like opening doors and pulling out chairs is...?" and the answers range from "Perfectly acceptable and admirable" to "Inappropriate/Unnecessary" or "A bad thing" and a lot of women have come down on the negative end of answers to that question. I live in an urban area - DC Metro area - where "feminists" range from the "I want to be on even ground with men" types to the "I want to be a bit above the men because I'm a woman and I think it's owed to me to be there" types to the "I demand to be treated like a goddess and all men are beneath me and live to serve and adore me" types to the "I fucking hate men and it's time for an armed revolution against them so that we can set the world right!" types. Truth be told, it's kinda hard to tell who falls into what category unless they are on the outright crazy side of their beliefs.
