Final Fantasy VII (if I hear any song from it, I can almost immediately name the part of the game, and if you haven't heard One Winged Angel or the staff roll or Aeris's Theme, then do so!)
Metal Gear Solid
Chrono Cross
Legend of Zelda
Mario will always be a classic
SimCity for the SNES
Resident Evil 1. That single violin really added to the atmosphere

I bought Silent Hill 2 and Fable soundtrack. I have Final Fantasy VII and some of IX and X. I own all the Metal Gear Solid soundtracks. The Final Fantasy Live Concert. And a couple other soundtracks that aren't coming to mind.

If you like video game soundtracks you should check out OverClocked ReMix at ocremix.org. They do some great versions of soundtracks like Sonic 2 and Final Fantasy VII. Their Super Street Fighter II album Blood on the Asphalt was so popular that Capcom hired them to use their versions and make some others in Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.

Wow. I decided to look up the RE2 soundtrack and I forgot how creepy it is. The one for the 2nd floor of the police station instantly sent chills up my spine

Huh? No Castlevania? Obviously you guys no nothing of videogame soundtracks.
The best videogame soundtacks ever created come from the Castlevania series.
Metal Gear is crap compared to that. Final Fantasy series comes close,but cant compare.
Street Fighter series is great,Tekken,Need For Speed series,Devil May Cry series.
