Texas Chainsaw Massacre, as the original is far better than the rest of those franchises combined. 2 was awesome too, and 3 was decent. The rest were shit, but as I said, the original IS the franchise as far as I'm concerned.

I'd go with Nightmare... and Evil Dead after that, the rest are too hit 'n miss.

I love zombie flicks.
However the scariest is the Excorsist series.

It's hard to say which franchise is best due to the up and down in quality in each one of them from a movie to another. :dunno:

As a franchise, I would go with either Hellraiser or Halloween i think.

The Romero "Living Dead" series....and I really enjoy all the Hammer Horror films and the Vincent Price one's that were adapted from Edgar Allen Poe stories.
