As surprising as Braun's release was, I'm reading that his contract was just too expensive (going to 2023) for what they were getting, so it wasn't surprising.
What I don't get is why they didn't renegotiate - I'm sure he would have taken a pay cut to keep his job.

The article seems to say that WWE did these cuts cause of Covid-19. As they have already let many wrestlers go, along with crew, production and so forth. I do not know that much but Vince bought out every old wrestling brand and creating pretty much a monopoly as the only wrestling there until the last handful of years. I think Vince sold a good portion of his shares to pay for his attempt at a Football league again to only have it go under before it got started. I know you guys say they have many pay per views, I do not know how the merchandise is doing. Plus they signed that big contract with Peacock even though I hear they are going through all the tape to make sure there is nothing negative, I know they found some of Vince using a racial slurs several times which I assume they erase. Thanks.

Last night on NXT Mercedes Martinez legit got her head taken off by a roundhouse kick from Xia Li. Looked like she was knocked out as she fell like a statue but she had some consciousness on the ground. Mercedes is a tough broad and might be looking to give Xia a receipt for the botch.

You can almost see the fear in Xia's eyes about that receipt. Hopefully the industry has matured beyond that, as I don't think Xia has a record of being careless or dangerous. Brutal fall though.

A nice match showcasing that NXT can often be better than the "Big 2". Sarray seems to be integrating well to the WWE style. Or at least, the NXT style.

Also wanted to point out the comparison between Stark's kick vs the Xia/Mercedes kick above. Sure, Stark's might not have been a blind roundhouse, but it didn't look any less devastating, but was totally safe. Or Sarray's dropkick into the face, and yet didn't break any noses. The match I thought was a great example of you can have hard, but safe hits.

That Drip Stick is the Bee's Knees. Fuckin' Byron flopping around ended up looking like he just sat in the front row at a Sea World show. Miz gets knocked backward out of his wheelchair then the bucket full of Drip Stick fuel spills all over him. I was high as fuck enjoying this segment.
