It's good to be the king...
Coming from an American noob, I think Chelski v Liverpool is one of the biggest rivalries and maybe Chelski's greatest rival? Given that spurs are Arsenal's greatest rival I was just wondering if the 2 other London clubs are historic enemies?

I just googled West Yorkshire and my final guess came down to Pudsey ;)or Leeds....hmmm.....Leeds United?http://www.leedsunited.com/page/Home

Main English football rivalries (off the top of my head):

ManU v Liverpool
ManU v Man City
ManU v Leeds
ManU v Arsenal
Liverpool v Everton
Arsenal v Spuds
Wham v Millwall
Burnley v Blackburn
Stoke v Port Vale
Newcastle v Sunderland
Ipswich v Norwich
Portsmouth v Southampton
Aston Villa v Birmingham City
Bristol City v Bristol Rovers
Sheffield United v Sheffield Wednesday

Robin van Persie's ankle injury is worse than first feared and he will be out of Arsenal's team for at least four months.

The Holland striker was injured during a friendly against Italy this month and it was first thought that he would be out for up to six weeks. But in a statement on their website, Arsenal said: "In order to repair his
ankle Robin will undergo surgery next week in Amsterdam to reconstruct the ligaments.

"The club's medical team anticipate a full recovery will take between four and five months. :weeping:

This is very sad news as I always like to see the best players on the field. :2 cents:

What Wigan, West Ham, Stoke, Hull?

Sucks about RvP, but I think they knew it was serious when he went off to see that gypsy. He has to have surgery. You can't mess with his health. He has a poor track record of finishing out seasons, and even though this was an injury suffered during Intl duty, it's just more of the same.

The Gunners are short on strikers and will need to buy someone in January. If he was going to be able to come back in January, then maybe they wouldn't need to but now WENGER BETTER BUY SOMEONE!

WHo's out there in the $10-$15mil range?

Wolves 0 Birmingham City 1. Well that wasn't very good result for Wolves, I say it not good enough we need to win if we want to stay in the premiership. Absolute loads of rubbish in my opinion. :cussing:

Yesterday results.

Barclays Premier League

Aston Villa 1-1 Tottenham

Blackburn 0-0 Stoke

Fulham 1-1 Bolton

Man City 1-1 Hull

Portsmouth 1-4 Man Utd

West Ham 5-3 Burnley

Wigan 1-0 Sunderland

Chelski 2

and it aint half time yet

Well I am quite happy Blues are scraping results at the moment 1-0 against wolves :glugglug:. Chelski keeping their excellent form up at the moment also. Poor Arsenal, Wenger will be winging no doubt on MOTD tonight:mad:.

Arsenal 0-3 Chelsea
Everton 0-2 Liverpool
Wolves 0-1 Birmingham

Well I got that 3 goals would be the winning side...where were my Gunners today??

Why the hell were we trying to play on top of Chelski today? I could see the value of all those crosses if we had Adebayor or Bendtner on the pitch...but crosses in the box to Arshavin? Who's that going to fool?

We changed personal but didn't change our gameplan and we got hammered. I truly have no idea which strikers are available that we could reasonably be expected to sign. Someone on ESPN claims Chelski are going to drop MAJOR CASH to sign Ribery and Sergio Arguero in Jan? They don't even need them! The only thing that will stop Chelski are injuries and they never seem to get injured...

If I had to guess---Wenger would spend up to $15-$17mil, but I worry he won't even do that. He'll just float out some "rumors" that we're looking at X, Y, Z and those teams will drive up the price and then we'll claim that teams are inflating player values...

^^ It’s nice the read some honest constructive criticism of one’s own team. Many I’ve noticed run and hide or refuse to answer questions that don’t show their team in a positive light. Thank you. :hatsoff:

I think the title will be decided in the next transfer window. If Arsenal and Manchester UTD do not spent wisely I can’t see them stopping Chelski unless they have a serious dip in form or injuries to major players. :yesyes: :yesyes: :yesyes:

Well there is the African Nations Cup to come after the new year so I
think if Chelsea survive that then they will be odds on to win the EPL.

Sod it - guess we'll have to make do with finishing ahead of the Spuds...
