English Premier League 2009/2010

This could actually harm Chelski because won't they be a bit "long-in-tooth" by 2011? Drogba and Anelka are past 30, right...Ballack and Lamps have to be coming up to the big 3-0...

What the hell happened to Joe Cole? I actually thought he was the best all-around English player, and I haven't seen/heard about him in many months...did he retire or something?

I think he broke a toenail.

^Won't Chelski bog that decision down in Appeals? That is a SEVERE sanction.

At least it will save Abramovich some money :D

Yes I am sure RA is short of a bob or two in these hard economic times!

Yes following this with some interest, cant see this being enforced. Chelsea are set to appeal and I think theres at least reasonable chance of them overturning the decision. Anyway havent they already got half of the worlds best players?

I am glad to see a severe ban imposed for this. Now do the same to Manchester Uninted and Arsenal for there tapping up of young players such as Macheda, Fabregas, Pique and the rest.

Also to the people who believe Chelsea are being punished as they play in the EPL, they are mistaking as Roma were giving a similer punishment for signing Mexes a few years ago.

Is somewhere outhere.
It might be severe, but at least it might make them use their youth
system a lot more.

I'm sure there are a million kids out there who can play just as good
still waiting to be discovered :)

Everton needs to get it going....they were talked about for challenging the Big 4 this year (same as spurs last year I suppose..)

Way to step it up Fulham!

Man City are on fire

I only hope that Abedayor doesn't get suspended for the Derby, especially since they will be without Tevez, Robinho and Santa Cruz.

I don't think Adebayor should be punished for any of what he did. The rules state that you get a booking for celebrating in a unsporting manner. He did that and got his righful booking as for the little flick at Van Persie, it served Persie right as he had attempted to injure Adebayor in the tackle so he had a little flick Persie. The ref clearly saw the incident so there shouldn't be any further action.

Arsenal once again scrape by with their dogdy defense, and how
cool was that for Eduardo getting the winner.

Even my beloved got a great point against Stuttgart last night
with a great goal from Bougie :nanner:

Happy days :thefinger

Arsenal were playing a 3rd string goalie who they must've found and signed standing outside of the Standard Liege stadium

I think 6 first teamers didn't make the trip to Belgium for the Goons...they played shitty in the first half but finally gelled in the 2nd and got the win...

Question for all..

Which fixture are you most looking forward to?

Although I'm not a fan of either of the 'mancs' teams, I'd love to see united get humiliated by city... home and away !
and I reckon city will never have a better chance of doing it.. :glugglug:

ps#1: Tevez to do 'the dirty' on utd

ps#2 Owen to pull his hamstring, first day of the season (that'll teach ya...)

i'm just a fan of good football. the match i'm most looking forward to is chelsea V. man utd and the reverse. ;)
