Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

I wouldn't get my hopes too high if I were a PS3 owner. I mean, it was supposed to work when it came out a year ago, and they've spent a year trying to fix it already.

True that.
PS3 owners bought Skyrim to have fun and adventures but all they got was an arrow to the knee.

As much as I don't care for Playstation, I genuinely feel bad for PS3 Skyrim players. To have such an amazing game at one's fingertips and not be able to enjoy it has to be pretty frustrating.

PS3 release dates.

•Dragonborn releases Tuesday, February, 12
•Hearthfire releases Tuesday, February, 19
•Dawnguard releases Tuesday, February, 26

Also half price in its first week for each.

Honest question: Is it worth having both? I mean obviously if you already have both there's no reason not to, but I've just never seen the fascination with the PS3. I'd play Uncharted, but that's about the only thing about the PS3 I wish I could do on my 360.

I like having both systems because then I can play pretty much any game that I'm interested in. I do use the PS3 more for the Blu-Ray player and exclusives, but I have a few multi-platform games on the PS3.

Blue Ray's nice, but I could never justify buying a completely new system + replacing my dvd collection just for that one bonus. Plus I've heard that there's some chip or whathaveyou in the PS4 that'll make it so you can't play a game that isn't linked to your specific account, hence: no renting, borrowing, buying used games. Sounds like a terrible idea to me, especially if the other consoles don't do it:

^ Maybe you can keep that discussion for another thread and talk about Skyrim here ;)

I'd be surprised if they go through with that, there was a rumor that microsoft was looking at the same technology but Sony patented it.

I like the exclusives for both.

Edit: I didn't get the hint and don't understand what "Keeping things on topic" means :brick:

Anyone like me and can't help but create a Nord character? It just fits in better with the story. It makes more sense if you're a Dragonborn from Skyrim legend that you actually be from Skyrim rather than say, some scaly reptilian Argonian foreigner. Or maybe a scaly reptilian makes more sense lol.

Also makes more sense if you choose to join the Stormcloaks.

No, it makes more sense to you, that's the whole point, to choose to play the game your way. I chose Redguard and the Imperials. As far as a Dragonborn being from Skyrim, how do you explain Miraak? Miraak is the first Dragonborn and he was a dragon priest from Solstheim.
