Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Its because Bethesda could care less. They'd rather crank out dlc and make money than fix their issues

That's just plain not true at all. Luckily for me, I have a 360, and haven't any serious glitches at all. Probably about 190 hours in, too.

Sounds like you PS3 people got fleeced. I haven't heard of any serious 360 glitches. The backwards dragon was a pain in the ass, but not game-breaking by any stretch of the imagination. Plus I'm pretty sure they fixed it a while ago.

I haven't played this yet cause my Xbox is broken atm. Any idea how many plots/homes you can have?

I only have one plot/home right now, outside of the original homes that you buy in the keeps, but the achievements say that you can buy three plots/homes. The one I have is just outside of Falkreath. I don't know where the other two are, a courier gave me a letter to talk to the steward at Falkreath and she gave me the land for $5,000. I made my housecarl from Falkreath, my steward and I can have her get me logs and stone.

You can build a small cottage and then add a main hall. After the main hall you can add West, North and East wings and there are 3 of each wing that you can choose from. What ever wings I don't use on the current house, I'll put on the other houses when I get them. I've adopted two kids, so now it's me, Mjoll (and Aerin), two daughters, my housecarl/steward, and a bard. There's a garden, cow, chickens, stable, bee apiary, smelter and I've got blacksmith equipment outside and in the cellar.

I've already had to defend the house/manor against 3 dragons and some bandits in the area. I even killed some wizard doing a sacrifice offering near the bottom of the property, can't have that stuff around the kids.

lol. Sounds like everyday life.

So the plots are predetermined where they are located ? I thought you can choose open space anywhere in the game but the space you chose will decide on what can be built there.

I think they are predetermined, you have to get a deed for the land and it was the steward who gave me the deed.

Anybody know what's going on with the ps3 dlc for this game?? The fact that we get the shaft when it comes to dlc, at least the games I play, makes me question which console I buy next.

Yeah, there's three places you can get land: Morthal, Dawnstar and Falkreath. You'll have to do a couple of small quests to make the local Jarl happy first, then go to his steward and buy the land. I have the Morthal and Dawnstar properties, and they're a bit outside of town, which I kind of like. The Morthal one is located up the coast of the swamp towards Solitude, and the Dawnstar one is a ways south, at the edge of the mountains looking over the Whiterun Tundra. I can't get the asshole steward in Falkreath to sell me land though.

The last I heard is that Bethesda was having issues with the dlc on the PS3 and that they were still working on it. It sucks that those with access to only a PS3 still can't play the new content.

My social life is pretty unexisting anyway, but is Skyrim worth sacrificing what little is left? :dunno:

I mean, between Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, about to reach 9th prestige in MW3 and then catching up with 24 on Netflix, I'm virtually a hermit already.

It's a lot of fun, I have it on PS3 and despite the bugs on that system's version, it's still a great game.

It is worth it.
