I love to eat almost any food cold. For lunch I had cold tofu/veggie stir fry. Weird or normal?

most of my food is cold. i dont own a microwave (by choice) so leftovers are cold. i actually like that.

as for tofu and veggies, i eat that near daily.

Taste anything like smoked eel?

When I first came to the Netherlands, my hubby got smoked eel. I refused to try it at first and when there was half a piece left I finally got brave enough. I was sorry I let him eat pretty much all of it and now when there's smoked eel, the fight is on.

When I went to Louisiana, I ate some alligator. I almost tried Nutria, but I passed on that shit. That's about it when it comes to eating something weird/exotic.

When I was in florida, gator tail was always on the menu. Nummy.

I am currently cooking a cow tongue, so I can make cow tongue sandwiches tomorrow. Does that qualify as weird? It's quite delicious.

I've never gotten the taste for cow tongue. My highschool sweety's family always was cooking it, but it was way too tough for me. Probably wasn't cooking it right.

Before Anders snuck a microwave into the office, I spent 4 years eating all my leftovers cold. I really don't care.

As far as anything really wierd? Mmmm...my hometown finally got a sushi joint and they had deep fried sushi. Snails, frog legs, pickled herring, and such pail in comparison to fucking fried california rolls.

It definitely wasn't. To prepare tongue, you have to peel it first. That means that before cooking it you have to remove the tough outer skin. The muscle itself, if cooked properly, is actually quite soft.

fucking fried california rolls.

I take it that's a pastime at the office? Got any pictures of boldy engaging in this fine activity? :drool1:

Being that it's the end of the week and I have yet to go grocery shopping I had to find something for breakfast this morning. I took a couple of cans of tuna out of the cabinet, emptied them into a bowl, added two tablespoons of sriracha, a tablespoon of Caesar dressing, and two ounces of grated smoked Swiss, mixed well and rolled them into three quite tasty breakfast burritos.

I'm pretty much a pussy when it comes to experimental eating. The weirdest things I eat are peanut butter and onion sandwiches or mayo in mashed potatoes.

i had a trio of tobiko. different coloured ones. i got one masago with the quail egg. not bad. i had to say that the saltiness of the ikura is where its at for me. those little pops are great texture.

however, uni is king. thats my favourite of favourites. hated it the first time i had it. been hooked ever since.

I LOVE UNI! :D

Tastes like chicken. Or eel. I don't know.

I wanna eat your pussy, too though. I love me my redheads!

I just saw this XD I'm pretty "weird", so maybe you could post about it on this thread afterwards. :)

really? peanut butter and onion? describe.

I LOVE UNI! :D

yeah, its my favourite for sure. i love it when its that perfect flavour. i tend to like the santa barbara catch vs san diego. its different each time but, when its good, its really fucking good.

I had liver yesterday.

 That hardly counts as weird. Now, if you tell me you had antelope liver, that's a different story. How was it prepared? My favorites are breaded and cooked with onions. :yummie:

A few thin slices of raw onion and natural peanut butter. Preferably on Roman Meal bread.

OMG! You gotta try a peanut butter and pickle sandwich sometime. It sounds weird, I know, but seriously... try it. It's so good! Dill pickles, not sweet pickles.

As for my reply to the thread. I don't really eat anything weird, my tastes are way too conservative- I would never eat lamb, duck, veal, eel, frog legs, squid, octopus, bugs, etc. The closest thing to weird (other than peanut butter and pickles) that I've ever eaten is something that is only local to my home, it can't be found anywhere else in the USA or around the world, it's local, made in the smack dab center of Pennsylvania, called Miller's Hot Bologna. It's fucking amazing! It's basically pickled bologna with hot spices, sliced up long ways. Of course like all bologna, the ingredients are disgusting, including tongue, tail, cheek, intestines, etc. After I read the label once when I was a kid I swore off eating them for a couple years, but I couldn't hold out eating them too long... they're so amazing! Best bologna ever. You can even order it online, I actually just found that out prior to posting in this thread, so I'm gonna have to order me some of that! I miss it.

Here's a pic and link to where you can find it. Trust me, if you try this, you will not be disappointed! So fucking good. I could sit and eat the entire jar in one sitting. http://www.blaircandy.com/hotbologna28oz.html

Peanut butter and Dill Pickles aren't bad. Try peanut butter and sharp cheddar cheese. Delicious.

However, every time you mention any food with pickles, jackasses are going to ask if you're pregnant.
