When you say it's just your system does that mean you still do things like roll dice to decide outcomes or is it just more of a LARP type of thing?

Normally I´m vary of the second kind of game, but Bob the Diceman did one at Conception that I played in, and it was really fun, at one point I was riding through space on my spacehorse, grabbed the deputy sheriff, spun him up, and lobbed him towards the bad guys (he had a really thick head you see) and basically converted him in to a projectile weapon. If you have enough booze and are willing to put up with a lot of creative nonsense it can be oh so awesome.
He did use dice, being Bob the Diceman, but it was more as a sort of guideline, if you came up with a really good idea why you wanted to do something the dicerolls just determined how well you would succeed, and if you happened to roll double failure, well, shit happened in really funky ways. Bob the Diceman seemed to have a very vivid imagination and I loved it.
And I´m normally the boring guy that has a hard time getting in to this sort of shizzlewizzle.
Yes I am. I'm also a nerd with 42dd tits that loves wearing corsets.
Your point?

...ok, I'll leave you alone now.
you know you want to roll a 20 sided die.
you know you want to roll a 20 sided die.
I've never actually "looked down" on people who play these types of games (I'm not even sure what to call them). Everyone's got something to totally nerd out over, so I can't really judge. I wouldn't object to trying it at least once, but it's not on my bucket list or anything.
The players get to roll their d20, but that's pretty meaningless. As soon as they pick up on what means a success or fail I change what a success or fail is. So the actual system is you have to roll your rating or lower. Say you have medical 15. You have to roll 15 or lower to succeed and a 1 is a critical success.
As soon as they realize lower is better, I'll switch off to "odds fail, even succeeds". As soon as thet get that, I switch it. It can even come down to where the d20 lands on their character sheet, if they grab the right d20 in their pile of d20s, or if they did something that made me laugh.
Sometimes I totally ignore their roll and success or failure is based purely on comedic value.
I've ran a session where it was all based on storytelling. Nobody rolled dice the entire game.
I've also ran a session where I declaired that if anyone said the word "gun" that they automatically failed.
So yea, my system is "whatever is going to make them the most paranoid bad shit is about to happen."
Then again, that's Paranoia. ;-)
I should also mention that this is THE most popular game at our meetups. I have a waiting list of people waiting to play. Why? Because everyone is constantly laughing. LOL

So it's sort of like how you operate FreeOnes headquarters when your there in control of it.
And I have...ummm...errr...and I have...nevermind.
Besides I don't think being called a nerd has been an actual insult since the mid 90s. Nerds have made many advances in recent history. :1orglaugh
