Yeah, I really liked that scene too, but the series went downhill from there.
My favorite character was Gohan for some reason. He was young, I was young, so, I guess we related. Then he got older and turned into a total queer.

^^^Im with you. I loved that show when I was a Strapping Young Lad, but as I got older I thought this is stupid and stopped watching and caring for it. Gohan was my favorite character too, he was supposed to be all super powerful and stuff then he got older and fell in love and he sucked.
Well, Gohan still being one of the most powerful characters just after his father and Vegeta !

I am/was a fan of the series until it got too corny and predictable (GT series)
I have the videogames and also collected the stickers. Yeah,I know,the movie sucked.
However I got the animated movies like the Brolly version. That was bad ass.
I love the storyline in Dragon Ball Z. It's always some 'end of the world' crap and everyone have to get together and defeat the bad guys and save the planet. You cant get anymore epic in a cartoon than that.
I hate Goku however. It sucks that he is always the one saving the day, they make him out to be unbeatable and shit. My favorite character is Vegeta.
That guy is sooooo bad ass. He doesnt give a fuck what you think about him,and he will kick your ass just for looking at him the wrong way.:thefinger
Dragon Ball Z has the most intensifying fighting scenes ever in a cartoon broadcast on prime time tv(cartoon network)
The fighting scenes were so hardcore that Cartoon network had to take it off toonami which was airing it in the afternoon and replace it on Saturdays at nights. Man that cartoon action scenes rocked.:thumbsup:
Favorite episodes were the Buu saga. When Vegata and Goku had to fuse together. That shit was way cool.
Holyshit!!!!! I love Dragonball Z, I remember the first time I saw a dbz episode I was 13. In this episode Picollo split in two so he can fight himself (this is how he trained).
I haven't seen the movie and I hope I never have to watch it, I just know that it will never measure up to the anime. DBZ rules!

Yeah Gohan was real cool. In the Cell series he kicked major ass,after that came Majin Buu series where he got older and less powerful.
I agree,after the Buu saga it went downhill. I have not watched the GT series,it's crap.
Please,please do not watch the movie.
I made the mistake in watching it,oh my gaawd,it was so horrible and cheap(lack production,etc)
You will have more fun playing the videogames and watching the cutscenes in battles than watching that crap.
I liked the original DB series (which came before Z). For me the series ended when Oolong wished for new underwear.

one of the greatest anime series ever created, I look at GT as just a bad dream that Goku had
GT was complete and utter foolishness. The only part of it I enjoyed,sort of,was the final battle with Omega Shenron. Seeing Goku and Vegeta go Super Saiyan 4 and fuse was way cool.
