He threw that guy off just to boost his ego, not because he cares so much for the homeless. If he refuses to publicize that, then why did it air? Why did he bring him on?
-I believe that Dr.Phil takes care of homeless people.
He threw out that ballhead because he did not know how to behave on TV.
