Don't you just love coke?!

SEVEN DANGERS OF COKE & PEPSI (SOFT DRINKS)

For those of you who LOVE Coke/Pepsi. Just when you thought you knew everything.

1) To clean a toilet:

Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl.
Let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean.
The citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.
No scrubbing, no sweat - guaranteed.

2) To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:

Rub the bumper with a crumpled-up piece of aluminum foils dipped in Coca-Cola.
Much economical than the stuff from Smart Shop.

3) To clean corrosion from car battery terminals;

Pour a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

4) To loosen a rusted bolt;

Applying a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

5) To remove grease from clothes;

Empty a can of Coke into a load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle.
6) The Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your windshield.

Hey, what do we have here?

The world's first soft drink disguise as a multi-purpose cleaner? Or should it be a multi-purpose cleaner disguise as a soft drink!!!

Besides that, If you pour Coke (yes, the soda) on a slab of pork, wait a little while, you will SEE WORMS crawl out of it.

AND WE DRINK THIS STUFF! Coke & Pepsi ALARMING FACTS!!!

The average pH of soft drinks, e.g. Coke, Pepsi is pH 3.4. This acidity is strong enough to dissolve teeth and bones! Our human body stops building bones at around the age of 30. After that it'll be dissolving about 8-18% of the bones each year through the urine, depending on the acidity of the food intake (acidity does not depend on the taste of the food, but on the ratio of potassium / calcium / magnesium / etc. to phosphorus).

All the dissolved calcium compounds accumulate in the arteries, veins, skin tissue, and organs. This affects the functioning of the kidney (kidney stones). Soft drinks do not have any nutritional value (in terms of vitamins and minerals). They have higher sugar content, higher acidity, and more additives such as preservatives and colourings.

Some people like to take cold soft drinks after each meal, guess what's the impact? Our body has an optimum temperature of 37 degrees for the functioning of digestive enzymes. The temperature of cold soft drinks is much less than 37, sometimes quite close to 0. This will lower the effectiveness of the enzymes and put stress on the digestive system, digesting less food. In fact the food gets fermented. The fermented food produce bad smelling gases, decays and forms toxins, which are absorbed in the intestines, get circulated in the blood and is delivered to the whole body. This spread of toxins can lead to the development of various diseases. Think before you drink Coke or Pepsi or any another soft drinks.

Have you ever thought what you drink when you drink an aerated drink? You gulp down carbon dioxide, something that no sane person in the world would advise you to do. Few months ago, there was a competition in Delhi University "Who can drink the most Coke?". The winner drank 8 bottles and died on the spot because too much carbon dioxide in the blood and not enough oxygen. From then on, the principal banned all soft drinks from the university canteen.

Someone put a broken tooth in a bottle of Pepsi and in 10 days it is dissolved! Teeth and bones are the only human organs that stay intact for years after death. Imagine what the drink must be doing to your delicate soft intestines and stomach lining! To all COKE / PEPSI LOVERS, think again the next time before you say " CHUP

Great read! I don't usually drink Pepsi or coke, I usually drink mountain dew.

Anything bad for you in that, besides the caffeine.

This list is just a small sampling of the many urban legends surrounding coca-cola.

"Coca-Cola does contain small amounts of citric acid and phosphoric acid; however, all the insinuations about the dangers these acids might pose to people who drink Coca-Cola ignore a simple concept familiar to any first-year chemistry student: concentration. Coca-Cola contains less citric acid than does orange juice"

"...the gastric acid in your stomach is much stronger than any of the acids in Coca-Cola..."

this brings up a great point, well other then what you have here.
any guys looking to lose those 5-10 pounds, i offer 2 steps of advice.
1) give up soft drinks, drink water mainly, but indulge in a glass of juice now and then.
2) not relative to coke, but dont eat fast food for 2-3 weeks.
garunteed, you lose 8 lbs at least if you do both of these. and the urge to go for fast food anytime after this, largely diminished

a cousin i had always had that extra weight, was under 6 feet (5'9) weighed 195 little muscle. stopped fast foods, stopped with pop, and was down to 185 after 2 1/2 weeks, and is now at 170 and attends the gym, his "beer belly" is much smaller. two little steps.
i kinda went off tangent but i know alot of people are looking for motivation to get in shape, after all this is the time of year when all new years resolutions get forgotten about isnt it?

what the fuck you lookin at?
I never tried the "nose candy" guess I'll have to give it a whirl!

I do believe that most of the things on that list was "busted" on the show Myth Busters a long time ago so posting it like it's new is just a load of b.s. to me.

It cleans copper, FACT!. So would you drink something that can clean copper in a few hours?

It's classed as a mild acid.

If you need more detail on it PM me. Believe me I know a fair bit about it. It's on my banned drinks list. Right up there with alcohol.

If coke hadn't been invented yet, and some one tried to create it now, it would be banned. So why are people still allowed it? It should be taken off the shelves entirely.

Truth be told,I really don't care what it cleans because I don't drink Coke anyway.I don't think they tried to clean copper on Myth Busters but they did try to remove rust and it didn't do dick.they also tried a couple of other things and they found that it wasn't a very reliable cleaning agent.Now that's just what I remember what happened on the show,whether it's true or not is a moot point to me because my Coke,or any carbonated drink,consumption is too low to really matter.

I was always told that if you leave a tooth in a glass of coke overnight it turns black, or something like that. Infact I think we tried to do it in a science lesson at school.

It didn't even change that much, slightly brown but it cleaned straight off, and that was after a whole week.

And there you go,more myths busted by middle school students.

I did that exact same thing a few years ago and also lost about 25lbs....and you feel less bloated

I love coke, I hate pepsi though :/

I'm one of the few people who can tell the difference, and hate one and love the other lol :]

Hi everyone by the way, i'm new..

I've heard all these things before. . . not sure which ones are true and which ones are not. The worst thing you can do to your teeth is drink something sugary and then go to sleep without brushing your teeth.

as long as you don't over-indulge, I think there shouldn't be any serious problems.

I have heard the one about the pork, but I'm too chicken-shit to try it. I like my pork chops!!!
