Don't ya wish you had some guns?

These eight sure were looking out for their citizens best interests, huh? Stop and think about it folks.... they take your guns away, then they take away your freedom of speech. Then, they totally go after the Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc.

I've also had enough of this "Freedom Ain't Free" bullshit. I know someone who's IQ is...let's say questionable. One day he shows up with a t-shirt that says "Freedom isn't Free" with a big old Eagle flying past an American Flag. I immediately started laughing. He says "Well, it isn't free.". But to him, and myself, and pretty much everyone I know, it really is. I was born in America, thus, it's free. I understand and agree with the slogan IF you are/were a member of the armed forces OR you've lost a family member in an armed conflict. However, I'm willing to bet that 95% of the people who wear those shirts, or slap that bumper sticker in the back of their car (pickup truck) don't fit either of those categories. It's false patriotism. I respect the people who fight and have fought for the US, but I don't see why that makes us better than everyone else. A lot of people just yell stuff like "Freedom isn't free!" or "These colors don't run!" without stopping to think about why this country might be great.

God I hope you don't live here now. I really, REALLY hope you never EVER are allowed any of the freedoms that come with the Constitution. You, and your ilk, truly sadden me...and make me fairly sick. to my stomach.

I am not pro or anti guns. I live in the UK the best we have for a weapon is a fucking frying pan!

So mess with us UKers and we'll bring a frying pan to a gun fight!.

in case you don't know, freedom can be found in much other countries outsside the US. Sometimes an even greater freedom since we don't have your fucking Patriot Act allowing police to spy on our privacy...

The Patriot Act, is a vile piece of treasonous crap, that will be the downfall of this great land....but the leaders of other countries don't really need a patriot act, they'll just tell you to go fuck yourself, and invade the few rights you have, with little to no disregard for anybody, or anything. So while you are technically right, the USA's rights have been plundered by that shitty bit of work...at least we can still fight back against an oppressive government, or in theory, we have the right too. If your idea of greater freedoms is anything less then gun ownership, and the right to complain about your leaders, and the bullshit they do....can't see where they're greater freedoms.

Examples please.

So, basicaly, what you say is guns = Freedom ?

I may not agree with the gun = security thing but I can understand what brings you to think this way. But guns = freedom :helpme:
You really that, in cas the US govetrnment becomes some kind of dictatorshi, the people would be able to dismiss it because america citizens own guns ?

"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

You really think that, because you've got guns, the US government fear its you ?

robot_r0ck

I plead the 5th...
You should only be allowed to have guns only if you are not some trigger happy dipshit! There will always be crime, murder with or without guns (I know the murdered by guns crap will be down) . The criminals will always find a way to get guns no matter what. Therefor we citizens should be allowed to have firearms. The reason why is because we(I) live in the USA. Are mentality will probably never change over this gun issue. I own 2 guns (legally) for protection. You never know what could happen where I live. I keep my 2 guns in a safe place. Just learn to be responsible. That's all.

I am absolutely fine with the freedom to have guns, as the 2nd Amendment says.

Yet it should specify that weapons mean revolvers, or rifles, not semiautomatics or AK-47s and shit. Keep it real.

Absolutely.

Number of guns and gun owners in USA.

Most estimates range between 39% and 50% of US households having at least one gun (that's about 43-55 million households). The estimates for the number of privately owned guns range between 190 million to 300 million. Removed those that skew the stats for their own purposes the best estimates are about 45% or 52 million of American households owning 260 million guns.

US Gun Statistics
Various Sources
2-2-5

(A) The number of physicians in the U.S. is 700,000.
(B) Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year are 120,000.
(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 0.171.

(Statistics courtesy of U.S. Dept. of Health Human Services)

Guns
(A) The number of gun owners in the U.S. is 80,000,000.
Yes, that is 80 million.

(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500.
(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.000188.

Statistically, doctors are approximately 9,000 times more dangerous than gun owners.
Remember, "Guns don't kill people, doctors do."

FACT: NOT EVERYONE HAS A GUN, BUT ALMOST EVERYONE HAS AT LEAST ONE DOCTOR.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat. We must ban doctors before this gets completely out of hand!

Out of concern for the public at large, I have withheld the statistics on lawyers for fear the shock would cause people to panic and seek medical attention.

Lies, damned lies, and statistics

So shoot yourself instead of going to doctor when you are ill - is that what you are saying?
Statistics missing - number of people whose death was accidentally caused by a physician who would have died anyway without a doctor
or
Number of people who would have died from gunshot wounds if a doctor had not seen to them
or
Number of people who would have dies, but did not thanks to a doctor!

Your comparisons are crap - your logic is flawed.

It is very difficult to shoot people when guns are outlawed.

Okay, ban guns. Then you will be harping about all the knife killings. So, we'll ban knives next. Then, baseball bats will reach record sales as thugs / burglars wreak havoc on those who don't have a bat. Well, I guess then bats will be outlawed or, there will be a 7 day waiting period before little Travis will be able to go play some baseball at the school yard this summer. Travis and his friends will say "fuck it", let's break into the store and steal a bunch of bats and sell them on the black market.

Flash forward 15 years: Travis is still serving a 25 year sentence for breaking and entering, possession of illegal baseball bats, and his next parole hearing isn't until five more years.

Meanwhile, the criminals have now chosen to arm themselves with golf clubs. But!........ Headline in the Daily News - Two men were arrested today, suspected of intent to rob innocent people in neighborhood while carrying their gold clubs to the local golf course. The two men live within blocks of the course, and decided to be energy-conservationists and walk instead of driving. They are being held in jail until their hearing next week.

So now we have kids who are considered armed and dangerous if caught with a baseball bat.... and those who fail to keep their clubs at the golf clubhouse will be severely punished and or incarcerated for up to 30 days if caught with their golf clubs 200 feet from the parking lot.

HEADLINES: Golf courses shut down nation-wide as people are no longer willing to go through the hassle of having to pay a fee to store their clubs, and with the lack of players, the golf courses can no longer upkeep the course.... weeds and dead grass abound most courses..........

And in related news, Unemployment reaches 58% as businesses all across the country shut down for fear of breaking the law for selling rubber bands... as one person already has been hospitalized for being shot in the eye while working at the 7/11. Police are still looking for the robber who left several rubber bands on the counter after he fled the store.

My birthday's coming up. Considering buying myself this-

taur1911.jpg

There are better. When it comes to guns, you get what you pay for. If your heart is set on a 1911, I would go with Springfield Armory, Kimber or Para Ordinance. If it's not, p.m. me, and I'll give you a list a mile long of great affordable guns, that will do whatever you want a gun to do.
