yikes, probably wouldnt use that mod. if i want realism in my apocalyptic end of the world every man for himself battles, then i'll just drive across the bridge and into Oakland! :eek:
any weapon that allows you to fire a stuffed teddy bear at someone and do some damage is a weapon worthy of praise. its like a BFG with a sense of humor.
ok i just beat fallout 3, luckily i saved it before goin to see EL. It had an abrupt ending..whats this i hear about broken steel? worth getting?

There was another one that I can't find; makes it uber-real so one bullet is enough to cripple or **** you.

Gauss rifle probably.....Like a sniper rail *** in principle of course your talking serious miniturization.
Its in the operation anchorage add on, You gotta complete the simulation to unlock the armory.

No, this was a fan made mod that made a single bullet from any *** enough to hurt you. Cause, you know, that's how it works in real life.
i wouldnt say its the hardest game, but definitely one of the best, copleted it last year. As i remember you are guided through the game by happen chance meetings and completing tasks for people but caps are all important. Work at it though one of THE BEST GAMES EVER.
i completed Fallout 3 and didn't find it that hard. i'm planning on getting into the expansion packs soon. great game, btw.

Demon's Souls
i'd say Ninja Gaiden 2 was the more difficult of the two, tho. Demon's Souls seems really hard at first, but once you get the hang of things and 'learn' the game ...it's pretty much a cake walk.
my first run through of Demon's Souls took around 66 hours. my last run through only took about 9 or 10 hours. once you know what you're doing it's a walk in the park ...for the most part.

Demon's souls is all about practice , and having a lot of patience to get your hero to a good enough level before you make it past some of the stages in the game. And you're absolutely right , once you get the hang of it , it gets way easier.
When you 1st start out the game it was hard after you leave the Vault. I realize exploring the world is one of the main draws about the game, but exploring too much without leveling up leaves you dead quickly. I remember the 1st time some random gang of slavers started to ****** me from the top of a bridge....a quick death. After awhile though I wasn't afraid to go anywhere once I got the good weapons and built up my stats a little

That's one of the problems I had with this game. At the very beginning it was tough - a group of slavers could **** me. It actually felt like I was trying to survive. I remember the first time I fought a group of Super Mutants - had to take my time because my health was getting low (Plus there were Centaurs. If one of those things gets near me I run away).
By the mission where you have to clear out the Super Mutants from the Jefferson Memorial, the game stops being like that. You can **** anything; a group of slavers or Super Mutants is no longer a challenge. By the end of the game the only challenging enemy is a deathclaw.
not when u have the chinese stealth armor and a sniper rifle.
you are invisible and sneak attacks = 1 shot ***** on anything!
Im terrible at this game. rented it a month or so back and hated it because i sucked... if youre into games like this then im sure its cool, the graphics are cool and the story is ok but the game play for me wasnt good

Like whalers said, a sniper rifle and chinese stealth armor can be of big help (where's the chinese stealth armor anyway? I've never seen it)
But the way I deal with them is the dart *** + frag mines/grenades/nuka grenade combo, or just dart *** + plasma rifle/chinese assault rifle combo. I went through Old Olney one time like that and ended up ******* about 10 of them around the place, sometimes even dealing with 2 or 3 at the same time.
The thing that makes those things so dangerous is their speed, so use the dart *** (I also use it against the ya guei) then after that just ONE bottlecap mine or nuka grenade can **** it. Regular frag mines or grenades do some damage but takes several to **** them.
Fallout 2 was way harder, in both combat and quest complexity than fallout 3. As for not being able to take on the guys in super duper mart...
-Of course make small guns your most important skill, I'd put everything into it for 5+ lvlups. Perception and Small guns will help make your shots count which is good for ammo, good for minimizing action points usage.
-Agility also very important (strength, luck etc I usually keep around 5ish)
-Spend the early part of your game earning caps and getting a good armor and ammo
-Use VATS, if you aren't using VATS then your going to get pwnd. Playing the game without VATS is like the super-challenge you do after you have played though already lol
-Stock up on food and healing items, don't be afraid to get radiated. HP low in super duper mart? Have some nice radioactive food and at least your HP will be restored
So with using VATS, some moderately good combat gear and healing supplies, high perception, agility and small guns... theres no reason not to get through super duper mart it practically beats itself

i think it is located in one of the DLC's i cant remember its been so long since i played.maybe operation:anchorage i could swear that is where i found it.you face chinese enemies who are wearing the stealth armor
i found many flaws in this still amazing game, but if you have an issue at the beginnig i found the secret is to set it on easy then, once you level up a little, turn it up progressively. there's no achievements/trophies for difficulty unlike every other xbox/playstation game, so why not. either that, or do what they want you to until you are good enough, i didn't have uber trouble, but i totally hear any of ya on the difficulty.
remember, the secret to this game is save save save! save whenever you do litterally anything of worth. it saves in the long run, haha trust me
