DOA: Dead or Alive - The Movie

I never played the game myself, but I know about it. Basically it's a fighting game, but with a particular emphasis on impossibly hot female characters. Not surprisingly, somebody thought to make a movie out of it:

Most game-to-movie adaptations suck ass, but this one is surprisingly... entertaining. It follows the same formula as the game: paper thin story, hot girls, good action. It was released last year overseas, and is just making theatres in North America right now. Seriously... good guy flick.

Jaime Pressly, Holly Valance, Natassia Malthe, Sarah Carter, Devon Aoki... all hotties. (Natassia Malthe is gorgeous, and that Holly Valance is something else!) The movie was directed by Corey Yuen, who directed The Transporter (he's a big name overseas). The fight scene choreography is pretty good.

Hot girls, good action. What else do you need? Go watch it.

Wow, a movie thats just fun? Who could think they could make such a movie? LOL.....people will still complain about it and say how bad it sucks, but just like comic book movies, people get too crazy when it comes to these type of movies.

As for Ringmaster, it aint worth a rental so you're not missing anything. But hell, if you're at Blockbuster and have 3 bucks to spend.. go right ahead. It might be wank material.

I saw it this past weekend and enjoyed it. It didn't take itself too seriously and was just a fun movie to watch. I'll probably end up buying on DVD. I love how half way through the movie after the fighting, what do the girls do? They play volleyball.

I thought...

Street Fighter sucked in every possible way
Mortal Kombat 1 was enjoyable by making up for its campiness with action and a few laughs
Mortal Kombat 2 sucked by trying to be too serious
Dead or Alive was enjoyable with the same qualities as MK1 with the added bonus of hot chicks

You're not gonna find pretty girls kicking ass Hong Kong-style in a porno!
