I actually do like to watch them. Especially for TV shows like Lost, The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy. You find out some interesting things.

Some notable movie ones are Fight Club (the commentary with Edward Norton and Brad Pitt), Dark Knight, Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, Lord of the Rings, just to name a few.

If it's a movie I really like, sure. I'll sit thru a commentary or two to find out more about it. Sometimes the info given can be interesting, and depending on who's giving the commentary, entertaining as well.

One of my favourites is definately Paul Thomas Anderson's commentary for Boogie Nights.

The Matrix has some sic commentary if you buy the box set. It has the regular old actor/director commentary, but is also features 2 other types. 1 being 2 critics talking about what they think of the movie, and the 2nd being 2 philosophers giving their take on the films. I thought that was pretty neat. It turned me onto the world of philosophy.

I don't buy cable tv so my dvd's/blu ray's get recycled pretty regular like... so I gotta change it up a little sometimes.

That's actually how I got started doing it, with Simpsons seasons, and I really liked it. Up to season 5, even Conan O'Brien is doing some of the commentary (due to being a writer/director for the show)

The only reason I continue to buy The Simpsons box sets now is to listen to the commentaries (sad but true).

If you couldn't make up your mind whether or not I do or don't listen to them from the statement above then I'll be a little clearer: Yes.

Definitely yes -- depends on the film and the quality of the commentary

Occasionally, depends on the film.

Agree with the Fight Club one, that's probably my favourite. I like hearing from the actors as much as the directors.

No, I don't watch the commentary, never have never will.

Yes. It is interesting to get some insight on what the actors and directors have to say about the movie or show.
