For the EMPEROR!!
Yes I have two. One on each arm or upper bi-cep. One is a band of celtic symbols that scrolls around my upper arm, the other one is the standard anchor motif I got one drunken shore leave years ago.

No and doubt I ever will, I wouldn't judge anyone else that has a tattoo as each to their own but you do get some stupid ones that seem to be done on the spur of the moment rather than have some long term meaning for the person

Father, 20, defends decision to get a portrait of his toddler son tattooed on his FACE insisting that he has 'no regrets' about the distinctive ink

* Christien Sechrist, from Houston, Texas, made the decision to get the unique facial art in July last year

* The 20-year-old, who is studying to be an electrician, insists that the tattoo has not prevented him from holding down a job

A young father has paid tribute to the toddler son he almost lost by getting a massive tattoo of the boy's portrait on the left side of his face.

Christien Sechrist, a 20-year-old from Houston, Texas, had a black and white image of his young son Perseus etched onto the left side of his head in July. But a snapshot of the tattoo is quickly helping the young father to gain national attention after it was shared on Imgur earlier this week.

And despite his critics' negative reactions to his tribute tattoo, Christien told Buzzfeed that he doesn't regret his decision to get the controversial ink, even claiming that he would happily get it done again.

Bold statement: Christien Sechrist (pictured) has a large tattoo of his son's portrait on his own face

The detailed portrait of the trainee electrician's son Perseus, which features his chubby cheeks and big eyes, takes up the entire left side of Christien's face, starting at the corner of his eyebrow and ending down by his chin. There is even some additional detail featured on his ear lobe.

When he shared a picture of his new ink on his Facebook page last summer, Christien gave a shout out to the tattoo artist who designed the creation by thanking him for accurately rendering his son's image.

'Thanks Cody Gibbs for doing awesome work on me. Looks just like my son,' he wrote.

But Christien soon found himself being berated by his friend Ashlee Nicole who asked if the picture was a joke.

After Christien confirmed that it wasn't, Ashlee expressed her frustration with his choice of location for the tattoo, noting that the ink would likely make it difficult for the young father to get a job in the future.

'Why on your f****** face?! How are you ever going to get a real f***** job to support your son with a tattoo on your face?' she asked.

Doting dad: The 20-year-old, from Houston, Texas (thought to be pictured with his son Perseus), insists that he has no regrets about his distinctive facial ink, and claims that his young son 'loves it'

Snap a selfie: Christien has eagerly defended his facial ink to his friends on Facebook, many of whom questioned why he chose to get the tattoo in such an obvious location

'It's not funny!' Ashlee continued. 'I'm going to make you come live with [me] so you don't do stupid sh** like this. Although it is a nice tat, you should have put it somewhere else.'

Christien went on to call it a 'beautiful tattoo of a beautiful face on top of another beautiful face'.

Meanwhile, another friend, David Overbey, predicted that regret would eventually set in.

'I give it [three] years before the regret starts [rolling] in,' he said, before noting: I'm not judging [though]. I think it's great work. But society frowns upon face tattoos.'

Christien responded by saying: 'Well my son looked at it [and] smiled so that's all I care about.'

Meanwhile, Derek Farmer argued that there are better ways to express his love for his son.

Artistic expression: Christien already has a large tattoo design on the right of his face and the back of his head (pictured)

Family ties: The doting dad posts numerous pictures of himself and his family on his Facebook account

'You don't need a portrait of your child on your face to convince your love for him,' he wrote. 'It takes more than that.'

Although not everyone was so judgmental.

Cody Meyers commented: 'Yeah bro that does look sick, I plan on getting allot of art done [sic].'

It's nine months later and Christien is still a fan of his ink, telling Buzzfeed that his son 'loves it'.

He also has a large tattoo design of a skull and a flower on the opposite side of face.

And contrary to popular opinion, the tattoo enthusiast said the his dramatic face ink has not affected his ability to find work.

Mr. Daystar

In a bell tower, watching you through cross hairs.
I have several, and a lot more space to fill in. I have a werewolf on my left shoulder, a half man half scorpion on my right shoulder, a knight on my left forearm, 2 separate dragons on my right fore arm, that are joined to make one I have skulls around each wrist, and an unfinished piece on my right calf, which are 3 characters from the song "Dance On A Volcano", of off the "Trick Of The Tail" album, by Genesis. It needs the volcano, which will fill in just about the entire calf, from my ankle almost up to my knee. And a "C" on my ring finger, instead of a wedding band.

Hehehe. YES ;)

Mind if I ask............Why do you have so many?

I know it's your body and thus you are free to do whatever you want to it and while these days more and more women have at least 1 tattoo few have as many as you. What triggered the plan to basically cover your body with them?

What do you find to be the reaction of men you are with - either dating or intimate - when they see your body full of them?

Also, if you have a tattoo(s) let us know about them and what they mean to you. If you have tattoo or tattoos you have a tattoo so your vote would be "yes".

I have my arms, chest and back covered with Japanese-style irezumi ink. They don't "mean" anything, I have just always been a fan of the style.

No. I don't like needles, I prefer 2D artwork on canvas or hardboard (that will not wrinkle with age), and I'm not interested exposing myself to the danger of injecting carcinogens (cadmium colors, etc.) under my skin. But to each their own.....

You pose excellent questions cestmoi2010, thanks! I never had a plan to cover myself with tattoos when I started. The first few tattoos were simply done because they were cute flowers or butterflies and im a girl so, awe cute. That was all the thought process I had.
Now they mean things to me, they usually signify a point in life I wanted to remember, or a challenge overcome, or a change in my life. I think thats probably common.

Every man who has talked to me about my tats LOVES them. I dont have ANY tats scrawled on me or poorly done (i hope you agree!) and I dont regret a single one. I know there are people that arent lovers of tats, but the most honest thing I can say is that I hope they dont judge me incorrectly because of them. Again, thank you for your questions! Anna

Overall I am not a huge fan of Tattoos. If they have some meaning to them I am OK with it. I know a woman who got one because her mother died when this woman was very young so she got the Tattoo to "remember" her by. I know some get them for the birth/passing of a child or the passing of a special friend from the Armed Forces or similar.

I think the "sun" Tattoo Jenni Lee has above "home plate" is HOT because the only time you see it is when she is fully shaven and showing off her gorgeous pubes.

As for YOU............honestly...........it would be way too much for me. If I never saw them until we got "intimate" once I did that would be that because I would have no desire to see them every day for the rest of my life. And you know what - that would be MY loss - not yours especially because you have a GREAT face.

You said: "I know there are people that aren't lovers of tats, but the most honest thing I can say is that I hope they don't judge me incorrectly because of them"............I'm not and I don't. I think one of the very biggest problems we have in society today is: People caring more how others lead their lives than how they live their own.

I am very strongly PRO same sex marriage. Why? Because it has no impact on my life and if 2 people of the same sex are happiest together - go for it. Have fun because life is short and when they close the box on you for the final time OR throw you in a big oven you better have done all you wanted to do because you have no more chances to do anything else. As long as someone can look themselves in the mirror at the end of the day and be happy with what they did that day and who they are - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you - or me or anyone else - looks in the mirror at the end of the day and likes the person that they are - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS!!!!!!!!! If people don't like that - it is their fucking problem not yours. If they do like the person you are - good for them.

I am 100% sure there are things I do every day in my life that you or others don't approve of but have no problem with me doing because it doesn't affect how you lead your life so what I do is irrelevant to you. My brother is a Vegan. I think he is out of his fucking mind. BUT - when he comes over for dinner I do all I can to accommodate him and his needs, such as making rice with water instead of chicken broth (If you have a rice cooker or make rice - next time you do add chicken broth in place of some water and it will taste a lot better - more flavor) because he wont eat it with chicken broth and I want him to be able to have some. I make sure to have salads and all so he can eat something even though odds are I won't eat it. I respect the way he leads his life and will do all I can to meet his needs.

Same with you. I will fight like HELL for you to be able to lead life the way you want because it has no impact on how I lead my life and because I detest restricting one's freedoms as long as they are not breaking the law.

Keep doing what you are doing as long as you are happy with it and those around you are, too. If people like it - they can stick around. If not - tell the "there is the door - don't let it hit your big fat ass on the way out."

Affirmative, one of my ex girlfriends was an apprentice at a tattoo shop, we dated for a few months and she used me for tat practice a few times. Her work was as good as work I've paid money to have done.

No, not at all!
