If you don't like that someone is reviving old thread, then don't read the post in the old thread and stop this bitching already!

It doesn't bother me, and, like I said, I meant no disrespect to you. :hatsoff:
I see this term "post count padding" used a fair amount. Nighwanker's been here since January of 2005 and has only made 1483 posts, so unless I misunderstand the meaning of the term, or unless the majority of those posts have been recent, I don't see how he could be suspected of post count padding? :dunno:

I wasn't trying to accuse him of post count padding; I was just saying that some people might view it that way. I could honestly give a rat's ass less if he posts his Eurogirls or not, but there are some people who might do so. The way I see it is he's been here for over 3 years and he has less posts than people who have been here far less time, so I don't think he's posting his links just to add to his count. There are members of the board who post shit just to post shit, even if it has nothing to do with the thread (an example is someone who posts about extremely popular, well-known albums in an unknown album thread). That's what I consider post count padding. :2 cents:

Amen to that! Or posting very popular, award winning movies in a "movies you like that everyone hates" thread. ;) :sunny::hi::bigear::conehead:

I am all for recycling, digitally and physically.

If there's a thread title that fits what you want to talk about (even if the previous discussion under that thread title does not), why not just bring the thread back up with a renewed discussion? Slows down page build-up.

I agree.

Hey there gun. I understood that, and I never said that you did. If I thought you had I would have addressed you directly. But you made a clear deliniation between yourself and "some people", so my question was intended to be a general one. Thanks for the follow up opinion re what constitutes post count padding.

I sometimes get peeved when you do because they're often even worse than the threads you start.

I am missing a post in this thread, that I have posted.
It was nothing against rules in it - was it??

It's the first time I recognize a post is gone :dunno:
(Is there an explanation?)

yep. the moderator CAN and WILL delete the messages they consider... let's call them "bad" for us.

The server probably ate it.

Whoa, I'd never say anything like that. some of your posts/polls i deem a tad bit inane, but if you want to ask basic questions whose answers bear very little consequence to anything, have at it.

If it has some sort of relevancy then ok.

But when someone bumps an old thread and all they have to say is "Yeah that was cool" or "Look at her tits" then it's a bit annoying.

And of course, when I see the shemale thread I punch the screen.

I get really mad while shaking my fist in the air and saying, "Darn you revived thread". After that I crawl to the corner and cry my eyes out while sobbing, "Why did that repeat post happen,...WHY?" for 20 or 30 minutes until I can compose myself again.

(Seriously it doesn't bother me that much. On a scale of 1 through 10 on things that are wrong with the world I put revived messageboard threads at about .1 as long as the person doing them isn't intentionally trying to be a jerk when doing it. I figure if something has to be done I will let the moderators deal with it.)
