I do not like it *only* when new post is stupid and even offtopic. Also it is not very clever to start "conversation" with those, who wrote their thoughts 3 years ago.

example of maybe the most stupid bump ever:

http://board.freeones.com/showthread.php?t=487

Doesn't surprise me one bit, Nightwanker is always bumping old threads where the last post was over a year ago, sometimes three years, and usually it is just a link.

WTF I hate when people revive old threads for pointless reasons.

There are some threads that are alright being bumped, especially if they are relevant to today, or if it is a babes thread

The way I look at it is that if the thread isn't locked/deleted then it is open for posting, regardless of what time it was created.

Not at all, anyone can do it if they want too no biggie.

If you don't like it, then don't look at the old thread and stop bitching.

Who decides if it is relevant today?
It's called common sense.

Oh, thanks for bringing up all our dirty laundry by the way.

So you say that people have the right to express their opinion on your posts?

I recall several members voiced their annoyance at a post of yours in a civil manner, at which point you responded with a profanity-ridden tirade. Which is it? Can we or can we not express our opinion?

Which leads me to this. Anyone who wants to bump any thread that is not locked is surely within board rules to do so. But it is also within board rules for anyone who wants to, to express their opinion of that bump via posts or rep. If I am incorrect in that statement, will a mod please correct me.

I appreciate your opinion.

Feel free to keep any thread, that disturbs you, on top of the boards, by posting "was it really necessary to bump this thread".
If enough people do this over a couple of hours, you can be sure that no one will miss the thread that annoys you.

I didn't make any dirty laundry public.
I said my opinion. I did not post what you wrote. Feel free to do it yourself.

In my post for which I got banned - what is fine, because I didn't expect any different - I pointed out, that this is the first time in three and a half years on this board, that I used some words that later could be called "flaming", because I simply wanted to make my statement clear.
In that very same post, I also pointed out, that these words were a symbol of my mood and not meant to be taken literally or personal.
The banning was fine. It was a nice new impression, that I don't regret.

:hatsoff:

There's a difference between bumping to add a relevant comment, and bumping to post count spam and to generally be a troll. Unfortunately, the latter is what a few people choose to do on a daily basis.

All I can say is: I bumped threads in Funny Pictures section and some people especially newer members seemed to like those.
I bumped few threads in FreeOnes Talk of which I thought they are still relevant or interesting.

Everyone is allowed to have a look at all my posts and get an own opinion, which one might have been stupid and which one not - if there are any at last.

Good night to all of you.

I really don't mean to sound like an asshole, but I've noticed that many of your posts are the same links to your Eurogirls. I'm by no means trying to imply that it's just spam posting or anything, but, when seeing how many times you've posted those, some people might wonder if you're bumping a thread just for post count padding reasons. To be honest, the first few times that I saw your Eurogirls I thought they were awesome, but after seeing them posted for the 10th time they started to get old. I'm sure that you're proud of them, and I'm by no means advocating that you delete them, or anything, but I think that if you're gonna bump something you should do something original. Not something original because it hasn't been posted on the thread before, but original because it contributes something to the discussion. Again, I'm not trying to sound like I'm giving you shit for posting your links, I'd just like to see more of other things from you, or any other member who bumps a thread. :hatsoff:

I did not mean bumping an old thread. I know that is spamming. I meant if someone wants to post a relevant comment in a thread, it does not mater if a new thread or one that is three years old.

As already written earlier on this thread:
http://board.freeones.com/showpost.php?p=2244239&postcount=24

yes I like to post links to "my" Euro babes,
but I don't bump threads for this reason, I bump them, if I like them or think they are funny.

I only can't withstand to post "my" link then.

Sorry, if it bothers you

I thought that "SPAM" was exclusively junk e-mail and "trolls" were posters that seek nothing but conflict and the smearing of shit all over an otherwise healthy and orderly board

what am I missing ?

No, I don't get mad. Mostly I find it mildly amusing in a :wtf: sort of way lol

I see this term "post count padding" used a fair amount. Nighwanker's been here since January of 2005 and has only made 1483 posts, so unless I misunderstand the meaning of the term, or unless the majority of those posts have been recent, I don't see how he could be suspected of post count padding? :dunno:

To the title question: not usually, it can't really be helped. However, I do get annoyed by the constant supply of whining and bitching posts by regulars and off-regulars that complain that the thread was revived.
