Do you commonly sleep in split shifts ?

I sleep about 4hrs in 24hrs, 2hrs and later 2hrs. I've been this way since about 9yrs or 10yrs old.

I sleep 4 hours a night at the very most :]

People tell me its unhealthy, but i've been doing it for a long time and haven't had any side effects, in fact 4 hours is all I seem to need. :O After that time i'm fully refreshed, maybe a bit tired at first but once i've had my shower i'm wide awake.

Its good. I really don't like the thought of sleeping my life away. If there was a way to live on no sleep at all without side effects, i'd take it!

The only time I sleep for longer is if I have unexpected sex and forget to set my alarm :x

I goto bed for 7 hours but sleep in shifts in it at random.

Example been..
sleep 3 hours wake up for half an hour and then back to sleep. Then wake up again about a hour later for 10 minutes and then back to sleep and so on.

So out the four hours I might get 6 hours at most if I'm lucky as the periods are never the same. Also it's worse when I'm off work like last week.

Been sleeping like this for about 5 years now for some reason that is unknown. My doctor thinks it's just the way I've become, as they found nothing wrong medically.

I usually get 7-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep per night. I am a very heavy sleeper, so only in rare instances do I wake up during the middle of the night.

If I don't get at least 6 hours a night, then it's best not to be around me until the afternoon of the following day. I will throw things, punch, kick, or curse at anyone if they wake me without enough sleep.

I rarely get 8 hours at a time, and I'd actually prefer it that way- 6 is about my perfect amount, and I usually get that from 4am to 10am, after I get off work at 3. On rare occasions, I'll have what I have come to call my "Coma day", where I'll sleep for 10 or 11 hours, but that's usually when I'm not feeling 100%.

I often fall asleep in my favorite chair...sleep in it for a couple hours...then get up and go to bed for another 3-4 hours.

I think I read somewhere that this is what humans do naturally without electricity to keep the lights going after 7 pm. Hundreds of years ago, the routine was to sleep four hours, get up and stoke the fire, make sure everything was okay, then go back to sleep for another four.

I'm in the army, block sleeping sometimes is a luxury... I sleep whenever I can get it.
