Do you believe in space alien and UFOs and stuff?

i dont believe in aliens as they have been portrayed. but life elsewhere, i could buy that easily. most likely in the form of bacteria anywhere close to us, but the universe is an unfathomable volume. try to think about it for a minute. its nuts.

I'm watching The History Channel right now. There's a show on that is essentially debunking the whole UFO phenomenon as a plot stirred up by the American government during the Cold War, designed to confuse the Soviet Union during American advanced stealth and surveillance tests. Interesting.

This thread has been resurrected!!:cthulhu:

I have never believed in stuff. The stuff sightings many claim are usually the products of hysteria. A proper empirical analysis of the stuff phenomena has revealed hoax after hoax. While theoretically the sheer size of the universe does indicate the logical existence of stuff, I think that if stuff really was out there, we'd have had first contact by now.

The aliens are so intelligent that they do not want anything to do with us humans.

Uh, I think the aliens come here because they are driven by the same animalistic urge of every other sentinent creature in the universe; they want to see what it is like to stick things in new butts.

I've no doubt life exists elsewhere. I've also no doubt some of it is intelligent. Life here on Earth is too diverse to be something regulated only to this planet.
But the whole "little green men" thing? Bullshit. I think maildude has it hit on the head. I've yet to see any footage that was anywhere near to making me a believer - all of it could be explained logically and scientifically, many of it being man-created.

I do believe there has to be some other life out there in the vast universe besides Earth. And I do believe in UFO sightings, in a way. And I also believe in Area 51. I think they are testing new aircraft technology there.

Re: Do you believe in space alien and UFOs and stuff?

It's the government ;)

That requires competence, which they don't have, not to that degree anyway.

But based on the preponderance of evidence put forward by astronauts, military and civilian pilots, and rational eye witnesses over more than 50 years, it appears apparent that at least a small percentage of ufo rerports are in fact ET craft from other star systems.

exactly what I've been saying all along. It is a numerical and statistical impossibility that we are alone in the universe! I

f we were targets for being "visited" or "invaded" by E.T.s, all they need to do is watch us for about an hour and realize it's time to move on as we're gonna destroy ourselves eventually. Never mind the fact that there isn't enough resources left on this planet for them to use anyway!

They wouldn't waste their time on us!

As I've always said we are in One solar system within One Galaxy within the Universe. Our Galaxy alone contains 200 Billion - 400 Billion solar systems.
Within the Universe there are Hundreds of Billions of Galaxys, some of which contain 10 Trillion solar systems.
So yeah, there is probably many different forms of life elsewhere in the Universe.

Or our Universe could just be one atom on some giants fingernail.

what they said..

Look out for a 11 - part lecture by SETI's Seth Shostak - He explains the pros & cons of the possibilities of alien life existing elsewhere.
a quick search on google should find it.

the popular pseudoscience that has created this aura of comic stupidity and queer behaviors around ufo sightings and alien crashes has just totally blown away any chance of being relevant or important.

Its sad because there is probably a lot we could learn about the possibilities of space, but instead we are stuck watchging stupid documentaries about stupid people who were "abducted" by aliens, and thats all the general public gets. A heavy dose of sci fi bullshit that you just cant take seriously.

theres life out there. But it sure as hell is not going to come down in a flying saucer and pick us up. Too much hollywood in a matter that belongs to the sciences.

It's actually a 12-part lecture

full title is: The Search for Intelligent Life in Space

can be found on all good T****** sites.

Intelligent life most likely exists elsewhere in the universe but the idea that they come here on flying saucers isn't very likely. What advantage would it be for them to fly around our skies without any attempt to communicate?

Yes I believe there is life on other planets out there in the universe. I don't believe that they look anything like us or that they have big black eyes and that they've been abducting us in our sleep.

In my opinion, UFOs and ETs are real. I've been a friend with someone directly involved with the Roswell UFO crash in 1947 for over 30 years. He told me of his experiences long before all the UFO shows on TV. That reinforced my belief from that moment on.

For the EMPEROR!!
In an infinite universe I think there is a good chance of ex-terrestrial life somewhere. But it could be only a micro-organism or something simple as lichen or moss. The chance that ET life evolved to resemble us or even at the same time as us is not likely. ..... besides it's well known that Earth, was and is used as the psychiatric ward of the Cosmos. :D

Of course, there have been many occasions where I've been awoken from my slumber only to find strange beings playing with my anus.
