There has been a shift in climate over the past twenty years. To look at the whole planet saying yay or nay is not an easy task. To look at one particular part of the world is not going to offer proof either. You can't say, oh, it is so cold here in Uzbekstan, how can there be global warming?

I would go along with the no global warming part, like most people do, and then just whistle and pretend the polar ice isn't melting, there was a spring this year, etc.

I know some people are freezing their butts off right now, however, I really don't see how one can use, say, Siberian or Hungarian or even Connecticut weather to prove that the earth isn't experiencing rapid climate change due to human activity.

I've personally seen more than enough proof in person and in raw statistics. And, yes, I do believe humans are responsible for climate change.
Can we do anything about it? Yes, though I believe a lot of damages are too great to be undone.
Will we do anything about it? Absolutely not, until we absolutely have to. We as humans are too greedy to make the required sacrifices. We are too reliant on the gods we have created to take responsible for our own actions...it is much easier to blame it on that omniscient creatures we've made in our own image.

FYI, I've been following global change since Gore was a Senator, works have done nothing to sway my opinion one bit. All he has done is promote the awareness, he in no way came up with the idea (and he will be the first to admit it). Many who dismiss it simply because his name is associated with climate change are blinded by politics, ego and emotion - not to scientific study.
