You may have a couple that are a few years old but will you be going out and getting a new one? Or are iPhones and laptops taking their places.

And desktops at work don't count cause you don't pay for them. Businesses will always use desktops because of network security issues.

What im curious about is the typical home user who wants to whack off to online porn. Cause I run a porn website and more and more of my visitors are coming from iPhones or other mobile phone devices.

Yeah at work I still use one.

The one and only.
I have one in my spare bedroom that I never use. Honestly, I don't even know why I still have it. We have to use them at school. The state is not going to give us all laptops.

I am on one right now. what the hell good is an I-Pad anyway? its looks like a massive I-pod or something. that is extremely inconvenient to bring to the gym IMO.

Generally if you're into gaming...a tower or desktop computer will give you more capability for that just from a cooling standpoint.

That is the main application I can see for non laptop computers these days.

That said..I have a couple of towers still and a couple of laptops. I use the laptops more but I still use the towers for different things.

One is a Linux server and the other is a Windows server.

Always

In bought a new computer last December, a desktop.
I use my laptop only when I'm travelling.

I prefer big displays and the standard keyboard, so a Desktop is better for me, and I always have at least two hard drives in them.

I have a desktop and two laptops. I use my laptop for travelling or things that don't require as much muscle. For everything else, there's the desktop.

Just got a new computer this past weekend. I need it more for work rather than gaming, set me back a nice $1000. It was a bargain for what I got. Nerd.
