...i read it protects from some stds and cancer. So if people are circumcised there is a reason for it.

That is true. Google will lead to lots of medical research supporting the case that circumcising reduces many penile problems - including reduced risk of contracting AIDS.

I read that It's now starting to become more common to go uncut and the number of circumcisions has greatly reduced over the last few years in North America.

That fact is skewed by the large number of immigrants from Central America who do not typically circumcise.

some research says exactly the opposite, the only complication it may bring is infection, wich is very rare...
another reason to not circumsized is the sensibility, uncircumsized men are more sensible,so that means more pleasure...

oh yeah and its barbaric, nobody discusses the fact that excision of the clit is totally wrong, well its time to wake up about circumcision,if were born with it,its because we need it

there are more circumsized men in africa than in europe.

Are you trying to suggest that this is evidence that circumcision is ineffective? Less circumcised men in Europe, less AIDS/HIV? More circumcised men in Africa, more AIDS/HIV? Is that the logic? Correlation does not imply causation. The reason for the relative prevalence of this STD in parts of Africa continues to be because of a lack of access to condoms, and education.

Major international public health organisations such as WHO and UNAIDS have continued to assert that circumcision is a useful protection against the HIV virus, but that it should not be solely relied upon. Clearly then, the view that circumcision can be beneficial to sexual health is a mainstream medical opinion, even if there exist other views which differ on the issue.

There's another aspect to this, and that's this idea of constantly trying to homogenise human beings into a single culture, or that we have the right to tell others how to live when they are happy with who they are. I used to do aid work in Sub-Saharan Africa, and I often came across people with all kinds of body modifications that looked strange to my Western eyes. But they didn't have a problem with what they were doing, so how was it my place to condemn them?

The same applies to circumcision. If Jews, Muslims, and particular Christian Churches wish to regard circumcision as a part of their faith, they should be free to do so, without others attempting to curtail their religious freedoms.

There's another strange idea promoted by some that circumcision results in the loss of sexual pleasure. Seems a bit of a myth to me, since as I understand it, pleasure is a lot like pain, notoriously difficult for doctors to gauge, since by their nature, these feelings are subjective perceptions.

I have no doubt that a lot of this furore in recent years over circumcision has to do with people being offended on behalf of others. I'm willing to bet that if you were to survey circumcised men, the overwhelming majority would not feel sexually maimed or disabled in any way.

oh yeah and its barbaric,

Let me guess, you're uncircumcised, right? :)

Of course they do, but it's a completely separate issue. Excision of the clitoris definitely results in the loss of sexual pleasure, has no health benefits, and significantly, the fight against this practice is supported by women who have had to suffer it.

You mean like the appendix? ;)

i still have mine, researchers in the u.s.a.says the appendix produces and protects good germs for the gut by "rebooting" the digestive system.

guess wath im circumsized, the foreskin protect the head,so automaticly the head is more sensible when its not protected,i heard that a circumsized men can barely stand the feeling of being touched if the foreskin is pulled down(except when having sex of course)so circumsicion results in significient loss of pleasure

loss of pleasure, I heard that was and is mainly subjective. More of US male pornstars are cut and their women partners enjoy sex with them.

Well, they should. After all, it is a fact that the most important penises have been circumcised.

i dont' understand...the most important??

i'm not sure what your tryign to say...are you tryign to say most penises are circumcized? becuase i read in a health book one time that 80 percent of the world is UNcircumcized....

in most places in teh world it actually is seen as barbaric and unncessary because just like any other part of the body if you practice good hygeine you have no problems......so i'm not sure if your tryign to say circumcision has health benefits or not...bcause it doesn't....but what does is practicing routine hygeine is what determines that.

I am from Turkey, a muslim country, so I got my circumcision during the summer of 1st grade (I was like, what, 6, maybe?). It is customary there, and there's like a celebration after it where family members are invited (kinda like the jewish thing when ur 10-12 (sry im not acknowledged on this)).
In fact, as far as customary goes, its normally supposed to be done without any medical treatment, with 2-3 guys holding the kid so that he doesnt run away =]

I got mine in a hospital tho. I was given a pill and I went complaining to my parents that it doesnt put me to sleep: "Mommy, I dont think this is having any eff..." ----- I was deep asleep.
When I woke up there were no more extra parts to my buddy.

I love it like this. It makes my buddy look much more handsome, think of it like shaving before a date - everybody loves a nice, neat look, enh?

I don't like the way circumcision looks at all. All too often there's a difference of color where the foreskin was removed, and the last inch or two are strangely lighter colored. It's especially noticeable on black guys. It's really creepy.

I've banged my fair share of porn stars and have never had a complaint being un-circumcized. In fact, several have commented that they prefer it for anal as the skin slides.

I'm cut. Hate it. I think this issue is akin to global warming.. everybody has their views but sorta ignores the main issue, (Who cares if humans cause it or if it's natural? The weather is screwy. February is the new December! Somebody stop the fighting and start assuring me that this is normal somehow) but as far as circ'ing goes.. does common sense fly right out the window? A piece of your body that is attached to the skin below as a newborn.. the exact same way that a nail is attached to the 'quick' below it.. is cut away without anesthetic.

Alright, cue common sense.. cutting... penis.. pain.. cruelty? Am I getting thru to anyone or did you fall for the 'Oh they dont even REMEMBER it!' bit.. (cuz they were babies?) Since when is it alright to put a sharp thing to a cock and cut? So some guys had problems, eh? Well we better just cut EVERYBODY beforehand in case they *might* get it. Whew, glad that's over. Oh shit, prostate cancer. Time to cut that out of every kid too! Breast cancer is pretty common, I hear... (What, is my disgust with the medical community showing? Sorry but they dont need to perform thousands of EXTRA surgeries per year the same as mortuaries dont need to embalm dead bodies. Waste of money, resources, and fleshy.. nerve-filled cock skin)

I dont want any part of me cut off at all. Especially without my consent. It was functioning just fine and had no problems. How many medical procedures are done on perfectly healthy tissue and called 'okay'? Hell, the evening news jumps all over any weather issue or health hazard and blows it out of proportion.. why cant I complain about daily ritual mutilation occuring at hospitals all over my own country?

Alright, that's all. Had to vent. Take 'er easy, folks.

I remember a girl telling , back in high school , me she could never have sex with a guy who was uncircumcised , I think opinions vary from individual to individual .

Personally , I had phimosis & had to have a circumciscion when I was 21 , the doctor I saw told me it can lead to penis cancer , because phimosis is a condition whereby you cant retract your foreskin all the way , so therefore you cant clean the vas deferens properly . There was already evidence of where the skin on the underside of my foreskin was already beginning to fuse to skin on the head of my penis ( vas deferens ) .

Looking back , I've had sex while I had phimosis & without . I think the phimosis caused some complications which didnt let me " projectile orgasm " , for lack of a better word . It might've caused me some trouble in reaching orgasm back then too , my first girlfriend said she came 8 times the first time we had sex , it was my first time ever but it lasted a good hour or so . But now I can " shoot " quite a load , and it comes easier lets just say .

Sensation wise , I think I have lost some sensation because the touch receptors in my foreskin aren't there anymore but there isnt the complication I previously had anymore . I've seen alot of porn where the male pornstars who weren't circumcisced really made me wonder " Man , I wonder what sex would've been like if everything was working back then " , 'sigh' .

Ah well , I could go on about haematoma & the trouble with dissolvable stitches , did alot of research on this & seen alot of doctors & stuff , but that would be going off topic . I don't think I can directly answer the question , we need a female in here who has had sex with alot of circumcisced & un circumcisced guys .
