Daughter's father shoots her abusive boyfriend in the balls

When police in Navarre, Florida received a call for a noise complaint, they arrived to find a bleeding man running toward them along with his girlfriend. The man's groin was dripping blood, and he was screaming that he'd been shot...

Amanda Kelly told a deputy that her dad, William Russell Kelly Jr., had shot her boyfriend Randall Carter at their home. The reason for dad's ire, according to the younger Kelly: "He hates him, dude."

William readily admitted to the shooting, but claims a different motive. He says he unloaded his .45 revolver, which he affectionately calls "The Judge," because Carter was assaulting this daughter. "I shot him in the nuts with bird-shot because he was beating my daughter," Kelly told police.

He's been charged with aggravated battery. Carter, meanwhile, has already received his sentence for messing with an armed man's daughter.

Good for that father. Doing what fathers should be doing. Protecting his children/family from scum like this.

Either way, given what is up there, the father admitted to the shooting, said why he did it. See in the coming days, or weeks, if any new information comes out.

If the kid was beating his daughter, he deserved it. I catch any one beating on my daughter, threatening or any thing of that nature, there will be hell to pay.

but i think the father acted a little too rashly. He should have pistol whipped the bf first as a warning. This isn't the old days, you can't just shoot people in the balls right off the bat.:nono:

I'm no expert on guns but isn't a .45 a huge round? One that would probably disembowel the kid if shot at close range.

Well hopefully he just won't be able to breed or be around children ever. So that DNA woman beating strand is cut, or should I say, shot off.

Or maybe this shot to the crotch will help him realize don't beat women anymore and he will change his ways. Either way, at the moment, he got what he deserved if he was indeed beating the girl.

The casing is identical to a standard round but instead of a bullet at the tip of the round, there is a clear plastic capsule filled with bird shot (Tiny little bb's). The abusive boyfriend will suffer a lot of discomfort but ,unfortunately, probably no permanent damage.

I thought of the Judge firearm that you speak of. I love that firearm, by the way. Very sexy. However, the fact they quoted it the way they did, I thought that is what the father called his gun as in the gun is the judge of things.

Therefore the judge will deliver sentencing.

It will cost the father more in terms of having a conviction on his record--good luck getting work papa.

The cost of the father's act, while noble, ultimately will be more when all that was needed was a restraining order and a decent attorney.

And what's really bitter is the perp will probably sue the father :dunno:

Guys who beat on women should get shot.

The father should get no jail time but have his weapons permit taken away as well as his guns. That's punishment enough for some one crazy enough to shoot some one in the balls.
