It will cost the father more in terms of having a conviction on his record--good luck getting work papa.
The cost of the father's act, while noble, ultimately will be more when all that was needed was a restraining order and a decent attorney.
And what's really bitter is the perp will probably sue the father :dunno:

He could have just beat him up, Hit a few chops....Yea sure there is still a chance of getting convicted I guess. People seem to love sueing in your neck of the woods but he would have had more chance of getting away with it after explaining his motives if it had of been so......Shooting the man in the nuts....
