Concerts You've Seen

What concerts have you been a party to?

I didn't start really going to concerts until I was 19, but since then I've seen many groups I've enjoyed and still have a great long list of ones I'd like to see.

George Carlin - January/February of '05 I think. I remember thinking that I might not even get to see him because he checked into rehab shortly before the concert date, but got out after a few weeks. I remember being the youngest person there (14) and not even being allowed in at first until my *** proved to them that he'd bought the tickets himself and gave me permission to see it. Great fucking show and I'm happy that I got to see him in person before he died.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Seen in '06 and just this past year, once with John Frusciante and the other with Josh Klinghoffer. Both excellent shows with a great amount of energy and presence.

Alice In Chains - The first concert I went to after George Carlin, September of '09. Seen at the 9:30 Club, a small venue being a great setting for their first album tour since 1996. Great show, ended seeing them 1 year later at the DC101 Chili Cookoff.

Dickey Betts & Great Southern - Traveled out to Virginia for this in December of '09, seen at a small bar outside of Culpeper I believe. Great show and great fun listening to so many classic Allman Bros. tunes.

Allman Bros. - Seen twice, once in December '10 and again this year in July. Both times with Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes, both times amazing.

Warren Haynes - Seen November '11. Fantastic show.

Soundgarden - Patriot Center June '11 and tickets for their show in January, looking forward to another fun show.

Robert Plant - January '11. Legendary is all I can say.

Stone Temple Pilots - Chili Cookoff '10 headliner, great to see them back.

Pearl Jam - May '10. Amazing show, and loved how they interacted with the audience, it really gave it a more intimate feel than I'd have thought they would've done.

Santana - Duo with Allman Bros. this year. First time seeing him, loved it, hope he comes back.

Sublime with Rome - July '11. Missed most of the show, honestly just okay.

Some I've seen but don't remember the dates of are Pieces of a *****, Cephas & Wiggins, Jon Mueller, Black Uhuru and Yellowman, but I know I'm even forgetting some more.
