Cleveland Deemed Most Miserable City in the USA

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
Ha...that's funny.

Maybe I have a skewed view because I grew up here, but this town is sooooo not a baseball town. I've never seen such a fair weather crowd in my entire life.

LOL....I guess Major League was spot-on then? :1orglaugh

All I know is every time I go to Harpo's Sports bar in the summertime, it is loaded with Tribe lovers....and they yell really loud and ***** a lot.

Just a visitor's impression....

The ******* is probably what makes them Tribe fans in the first place, HAHAHA.

Detroit has the crown according to Forbes. I been to both cities recently and there is no way Cleveland is more miserable than Detroit. Detroit has nothing going on, not even a decent sports team to lean on. Add that to the incredibly bad weather, joblessness, and Kwame Kilpatrick amongst many other problems, and you've got one miserable-ass town.

Who could **** the town that provides us with this man!?

Drew Carey??? Please. His show was (and I guess, still is) wildly overrated and that throwback improv comedy show he did was also mostly not funny.
There's plenty to love about Cleveland, but Drew Carey isn't part of it...

Did you see my starting post? It's a Reuters article citing the Forbes thing - and Cleveland - NOT Detroit - was ranked #1 (that is, the worst - "the crown")....

I thought Cincinnati had a higher crime rate and overall **** way of life. Maybe I'm just thinking of the riots there that happened back in the 60s.

Im going to go out one day and take pictures of some areas of Glasgow & I will show you real misery :1orglaugh

Cleveland has: A woman who was just ****** after being hit in the face with an ax and a serial killer who was storing dead hookers in the walls of his house for years and years. And those are just the big headlines from the last three months. The random ******* aren't big deals these days.

The city has a mayor who looks like the leader of Hamas, yet talks like Foghorn Leghorn and about half of the city/county government is facing indictments.

Most of the burbs outside of the city are pretty nice. Typical American burbs. But man, I'd always be sure to carry my 45 whenever I had to go in the city itself. And when I was checking out a show at the Grogg Shop or the Agora and couldn't carry, I'd sweat bullets as I left or returned to my car.

Detroit and parts of DC are worse than Cleveland IMHO.

I'd agree with that. I haven't been to DC in years, but the last time I was there was an awful experience. There are two DCs, the one you see on cable news and the one you see on Cops.

Detroit is 3rd World. Seriously, just driving through requires you to remind yourself that you're still in America and not a war torn ghetto in the Balkans or something.

Who wouldnt be depressed!?

A) That's not a mascot, it's a logo
B) It's the best logo ever
C) We haven't used that logo in a long time
D) Our current logo is our own helmet, because we don't have a real logo and that's AWESOME
E) We have the best uniforms in the league

A) That's not a mascot, it's a logo: This is true.
B) It's the best logo ever: Wrong. WTF is that??? An elf??? GTFOH
C) We haven't used that logo in a long time: You should be thankful for this.
D) Our current logo is our own helmet, because we don't have a real logo and that's AWESOME: No, it isn't. I will say you need a custom logo. The helmet is just laughable. Shouldn't the logo be some sort of a dog?
E) We have the best uniforms in the league: Classic, yes. Best, No.

BTW: Cleveland is not the most depressing city. Whoever came up with this must have looked over Gary, IN. If Gary is 1A, Detroit should be 1B. Whenever a proposal to bulldoze 1/4 of the city is put out there, you've gotta be most depressing.
