Circumcision

I happened to read an article on MSNBC a couple of months ago about circumcision. Apparently, there's a lot of research being conducted about possible benefits and detriments. The current consensus is that men who are circumcised have a lower risk of contracting STDs, most notably AIDS. Of course, if you're using protection, it's less of an issue. I thought it was interesting nonetheless but in a couple of months they'll probably be saying the opposite. You know how those crazy researchers are!

Did that article mention anything about non circumcised cocks looking freakishly freakish?

As a girl it is weird looking in on a discussion like this between guys about their penises. Some of you are getting very up tight about it.

I am not hugely experienced in handling thousands of cocks but for what it is worth from my point of view being circumcised or not does not matter once it is clean. Other girls might feel differently about it but it is how I think about it.

I did some reading about it on the web a few months ago and I read as some others have said that circumcised men loose some sensation. I cannot remember which sites I read it on but it was in more than one place and they were proper sex education type sites so I guess this is not just a myth. So from the guys point of view maybe it is better if he is not circumcised and from my point of view if a guy is putting his penis into my body - whether vagina, mouth, anus or wherever, I would like to think that he is able to feel it to the fullest possible extent.

If some guys prefer to have their penis circumcised then let them do it, if some do not that is OK. Do you have to slag each other off over it?

The one thing I do not like is the idea of circumcising babies. Where I come from (Ireland) it is not done except for those who have religious reasons for doing it. I do not think people should be allowed to do something like this to a child. Wait until they are older and they can decide for themselves.

With any surgery there is always some risk, even a very, very small one.

There's a scene in the book, Bravo Two Zero, where SAS man Andy McNab (no relation) is being tortured as an Israeli agent, only for Andy to show his uncircumsized penis to the Iraqi's to prove his not an Israeli.

Fair to say, that piece of skin saved his life. I'm quite attached to my foreskin myself.

Um...same can be said for not having surgery.

There is not point in putting a baby at risk. About a year ago here in Ireland a baby died after circumcision. The circumcision was not in a hospital but according to some African tribal custom. But even in a hospital why put a baby through it? What is the boy decides when he is older he would prefer not to be circumcised? At least he should be given the choice.

After that if men want it ro do not want it, that is up to them and there is no point in having shouting matches about it. As far as I am concerned those who prefer circumcision can have it and those who do not want it that is OK too. I am not going to tell any man which is better. And I do not think men should be arguing about it like this either.

All I gotta say, a man needs foreskin like a fish needs a bicycle

Im not circumsized and I asked my parents why didnt they when I was born. They told me that the doctor said It was popular until the wars because it was harder for soilders to keep their penises clean if they had foreskin. Personally, it made me scared for a long time that women would run in fear of a little extra skin but it dosent matter, it slides back when you are ready to rock, you can bearly tell then.

You just don't understand. It's what guys do to boys.

Well that is not really an answer. Most men in most of the world do not do it. Aside from Jews, Muslims and some tribes in Africa it is only American men who do it. Why do American guys want to do it to boys?

Asian (muslim) women get Circumcised

Look folks, you're born with a foreskin. It's there for a reason. Health reasons my arse!! Unless it's something like it's too tight, which is legitimate reason for having it removed, leave it the fuck alone. If you wash it properly every day like everything else there's no problems with cleanliness. Maybe in really hot climates or something there could be issues I dunno.

And maybe we should spare a thought for those who had it done at birth and didn't get a choice.
