Yup. Kill the churches. Crucify the Christians. Just like in Caesar's Rome. At least we are not like them. We are civilised, you know. In every city I have been to in every country - especially here now in Portland, it is the Church that is carrying the can. Church people hand out food, drive out to places after hours to bring a meal, give clothing. They provide prayer for the desperate. The alcoholic who is at the end of it all. Take them out of the equation and who will do it? Huh? You?

I never said people should impose their beliefs on anyone.

You have rights to do what you wish as long as you aren't killing and so on.

But, just because someone tries to tell someone what their beliefs are doesn't mean they are cramming it down their throats.

It is when they will not leave that person alone the problem begins.
Not just someone's religious beliefs, but someone's belief in politics or anything.

I would just like to point out that it would be more constructive if religion-basher could make a difference between religious institutions and religion.

While religion is a good thing, which always partaking in the rise of a civilized world, which is part of human nature (homo religious), the religious institutions have always been as worste as any power organisation (homo politicus).

People of faith are almost always good citizens who find happiness in this world peacefully. Of course, as any homo religious, they can be manipulated by people using their faith to serve their political agenda.

Yet, it is the same issues with ideologies. Homo Politicus is part of our nature and can be manipulated as well by delusional leaders to serve their political agenda.

I suppose it is a matter of beliefs. There is a titanic struggle going on.
Imagine, if you will, a vast space. Kind of like 'The Matrix'. Now, fill it with thousands of cabinets. In each drawer of those cabinets are files. On each page is a suggestion, and idea. All files have millions of these ideas, beliefs, dreams.
Those would represent our thoughts as humans. For e.g., I want to be in movies. So, I dream of it, fantasise - actually, here's one. The negative can come I think if people start believing, picking up on, and following a wrong thing, idea in their hearts. If they start listening to people who have gone too far. When that happens, God help us all.
