I don't know if there is already a thread for this or not, but this one was at the top when I refreshed the page so here goes.
You know, I have followed all the "Guns 'N' Roses" shit for awhile now. Axel had a wide variety of really out there guitar players in the line up, and I thought the new album could really be something. When Buckethead was playing for him I thought it was going to be sick. I saw a clip of Buckethead soloing over Night Train live, and I almost shit myself, and that was fucking Years ago.
Then Axel got a bunch of other guys. He landed Bumblefoot. Another great guitar player who is really out there, who played primarily with a thimble, yes a real fucking thimble, prior to being with Guns. And that's who is in the band now. And it has potential, still. But I am depressed that Buckethead bounced out on them. It is a better move for him, since Axel is such a cock-bag.
I think the album shows promise. But that single, I think it's called "Better" can simply eat my rusty asshole. I swear. That is not Guns 'N' Roses. And for fucks sake - change the fucking band name by now. It only sounds like Guns 'N' Roses because Axel still sings like he did ages ago. Weak. Really weak Axel. And let's not even mention Velvet Revolver. Definitely more successful than GNR may be now, but seriously? Ugh. :bawling:

Ah fuck it, I already got it preordered, Ive been waiting for 14 years for something by Axl, and here it is. $12, not bad, and a free Dr. Pepper to boot? Yes, Guns N' Roses should change their name to Axl' Band cause their lineup changes with every album, best chance we got of seeing the original lineup is if they get inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. But if history showed us anything then Mr. Rose will continue to be a dick and want to sue somebody.

so you're going to listen to the new gnr because the title is pretty smart. Just cuz its got a 'good name', doesn't mean its worth checking out. Check it out if there is a great musician on there named slash, which he isn't. So fuck gnr now, just like metallica, in face metallica can go fuck gnr in the ass.

Axl Rose used to be one of the King's of Rock. GnR was one of the last GREAT bands of the 90s and there haven't been many GREAT bands since.
I'm going to give it a listen. There's a difference between getting into my iTunes library and actually making it onto my iPod. I'll see if the album impresses me. :dunno:
