Charlottesville erupts.

Re: Charlotte erupts.

No, arrest those denying a group their lawful right to protest and assemble. Just checked, the constitution doesn't have a rescheduling clause.

If I walked into a law office wanting to take action against the city, county, or state for liability in this situation, how many attorneys would turn me down?

Re: Charlotte erupts.

Not true and libel, would love to see you sued for that.

And likely win. Yes, it's probably a violation of 1st Amendment rights to shut down a riot, but sometimes commonsense needs to prevail.

There was no rioting until Antifa and BLM tried to deny Unite The Right their march and protest.

Also Virginia Gov. Terry McAwful proclaimed that the white nationalists had no place in Virginia or America.
Actually, the constitution grants them a right to exist, espouse their beliefs and demonstrate on behalf of them.

The governor should be recalled for attempting to deny a segment of society their constitutional rights because he does not like them.

yeah, that struck me as well.

See, antifa smashing people in the face with bike locks is justified because they are doing it against white nationalists or those labeled as such. They are the righteous ones.

A vocal Bernie Sanders supporter goes on a shooting rampage targeting republican lawmakers and their staff on a baseball field and I don't see the left "owning" it. Or a guy inspired by BLM murders 5 Dallas police officers.

"Tolerance" is Orwellian claptrap as far as the left applies it.

You're missing the point, regardless of who antagonized the riot, police should have dispersed the crowd when it started getting out of control. The 1st Amendment protects Peaceful Public Assembly, not riots.

The constitution protects peaceful assembly that some may find offensive.

Even the framers understood that once peaceful assembly is denied, and those that deny those seeking peaceful assembly have not been held accountable then all bets are off.

You are purposely being obtuse to try and make a weak point.

The bottom line is that Unite The Right sought and acquired permits to hold their demonstration.

It was a last minute revocation that caused the riot all because another group(s) objected to it .

You're wrong, completely wrong and quite frankly, I am relieved that you are not in charge of enforcing the law.

Will E Worm

Conspiracy...
Re: Charlotte erupts.

Will cannot be sued for his comment if he can cite a source publishing that allegation.

There were many sources.

Now they say James Fields is the guy and was scared and tried to get out of the way of a swarming violent crowd.

The police didn't do their job. Antifa and BLM should have been removed and the free speech rally should have gone on.

Those fucking people had no intention of "Peacefully Assembling", all the proof you need is in the fact that they were wearing helmets and brought weapons, basically in riot gear. You seem fixated that "Unite the Right" had permits. Big fucking deal. I have a drivers license, but that doesn't grant me permission to drive 80 in a 55. I'm all for their right to Peacefully Assemble, what's really burning your ass is that you know I'm right.

or they knew what to expect? Because the left have been peaceful in their protests thus far? Selma to Montgomery they are not. I hate to even make the comparison with these pieces-of-shit.

Re: Charlotte erupts.

please, for the love of God, nuke Portland.

and regardless of the details concerning this Dodge Challenger driver, he's a patriot as far as I'm concerned.

fuck the left.

Which just further illustrates my point, and both groups are pieces of shit, reminds me of ol' revidffum's sig about picking up a turd from the clean end. As soon as shit started getting out of control Police should have dispersed the crowd. I really don't care which side escalated it to the point it reached, they passed their 1st Amendment protections when it got violent.

What ani said, was my first thought also.

Antifa have a history of disrupting gay conservative Brits giving speeches, stopping conservative female fire brands and slinging feces , urine and rocks at those they oppose.

I would have worn a wetsuit and divers mask.

Exhibit A when xfire is losing an argument.

He gets all pissy.

No, they didn't. They said it was fucked up and they don't support it.

Are you willing to say the same about this? That it's fucked up, and that a guy shouldn't have driven his car into a crowd of people? Because it seems like you and others are trying to defend or even justify the act.

For the past 3 years the left have been able to protest without any significant resistance.

The right cannot protest without being met by left wing organizations denying their right to assemble.

Unite The Right were not given a chance to to demonstrate so violence ensued.

You're failng to make your argument and quite badly I might add.

Stop projecting your poor attitude and weak debate skills on me.

Stop projecting your poor attitude and weak debate skills on me.

Let's assume for the moment that this is the case.

You're still losing, and have been from your opening argument.

I admire your persistence though.

A person with convictions right or wrong is worthy of admiration.

I'm not "losing", and this is typical of your poor debate skills. My premise is that the police should have dispersed the crowd when things got violent. How exactly am I wrong?

The police were correct to act when they did. They failed in stopping Antifa and BLM who were impending Unite The Right from demonstrating.

Antifa and BLM did not have permits.

They should have been dispersed and Unite The Right should have been allowed to proceed. Odds are without antagonists present, the demonstration would have been peaceful.
