I'm feeling a bit better. Over the weekend, we received our pre-approval to buy a house (this would be my first time ever buying a home) ... Monday, only had time to look at 2 places, first was a definite NO, second was very nicely done but not in the best neighborhood. Tuesday, I went to Busch Gardens with a friend and enjoyed a day of fun in the sun. Yesterday, were scheduled to look at 9 properties. 1st one needed a LOT of work. 2nd one (wasn't on our list but was so close to first property agent suggested it) was a shit hole that needed about 100,000 of work done to it ... though in a great neighborhood, on our way to third house which we were VERY interested in, we were rerouted to a different house on our list. Apparently the owner canceled the appointment for whatever reason what was a huge bummer bc we REALLY wanted to see that house. Looked at 3rd house. Was very nicely done. In a great neighborhood, but it just wasn't what I was looking for so we continued on. 4th house ... though even smaller than what we have now and has less bedrooms (and I really wanted MORE space, not less) .... was nice. In a good neighborhood and had a price tag we couldn't pass up, so we put in a bid on it. Now we wait. We offered $100 more than asking price ... so shouldn't have issue with winning the bid? But time will tell. If for some reason that falls through, I still would love to see the house that had to cancel us because that's the one we were most interested in to begin with lol!
