Casey Anthony - NOT GUILTY

Whats scary about American justice is that Roger Clemens is most likely going to jail for injecting himself with oil but this pig is walking away from murder and a host of lies that have cost tax payers millions.

Whats more is that I look on CNN and other American media outlets and the topic is "Casey Anthony reality TV show?" What does that say about America and what the people find entertaining and what does it say about the businessmen who would put a product like that out to make money. Its a twisted sick fucking country.

Everyone makes money off everything that's nothing knew. Think about movies like Saving Private Ryan making millions and millions off of historical events like WW2. How about the movie Titanic making tons of money on a super ship that sank killing thousands? What about people like Nancy Grace making tons of money in the media off the case of a little girl who was killed?

Imo it's selective outrage. She was acquitted not because she was smart enough to out fox everyone, or because her defense team was a crack force of masterminds or that the prosecution a bunch of numb skulls.

The evidence didn't prove that she was the person who did it. That's what the legal system is for; it takes more than emotions and suspicion to convict. Even still mistakes can still be made. But given none of us were on the jury and saw the real goings on in the arguments presented we know virtually nothing of what happened. We get nothing but biased media opinions.

Remember the 3 lacrosse players accused of rape and kidnapping etc... from Duke?

Everyone knew they were guilty until Crystal Magnum was found out to be lying about what happened.

The point being, everyone had their minds made up until they learned something beyond what the media pushed out there.

To be honest I know she killed her daughter. I don't believe anyone else had a hand in it but the psycho bitch.

Yeah, or she killed her daughter, put her in the trunk until she found time out of her busy partying schedule to borrow her neighbors shovel and bury her in the woods.
Thats also, Uh, a possibilty.......or something.

Offer the shovel into evidence. Produce a witness who saw her do it. Prove that the trunk of her car smelled because of a rotting body instead of two rotting bags of trash (which were filled with household chemical products, rotting food) left there for 10 days in 90+ degree heat. Casey may have indeed killed her daughter, but in this country we don't convict people of murder on hunches and theories. There was so much reasonable doubt in this case you could've bottled it and served it at the state fair.

BTW, people searched the ENTIRE neighborhood where the Anthonys' live, including backyards, streams, bushes. No body. All of sudden 6 months later that freakazoid meter reader Roy Kronk somehow happens to spot a tiny little human skull half buried in the mud among the bushes 30 feet from the road a 1/2 mile from the Anthonys' house. WTF? Really? A forensic investigator testified that the skull didn't even look like a skull, even when seen up close -- that it looked like a rock or something. So how does Kronk, with his apparently bionic vision, see what no one else could when they repeatedly searched that area. He didn't even walk down to check it out what he saw because he saw a dead snake and was afraid there was more in the bushes. Really!? C'mon ...

I gotta call you on that one.
Most everyone knew the druggy was lying, even the DA , but he was trying to make a name for himself.

As Denzell Washington said in Training Day -- "It's not what you know, it's what you can prove".

The evidence against Casey was circumstantial. The arguement against her was largely speculative. The lack of DNA is what did the prosecution in.

Her legal team did a good job. Why does no one give credit for that?

AFK..being taken to the vet to get neutered.
So what does this prove? After you off someone, make sure the body isn't discovered until it has decomposed enough to make the cause of death and forensic evidence disappear, even if you have to lie through your teeth to buy time. What still hasn't been explained is how duct tape matching the kind found in the Anthony home was found on the skull.

If the evidence was so *shaky* against Casey then why was she charged? It's not like Casey Anthony has the calculating mind of psychotic genius.

Her defense attorney used the opening statement to throw out a bunch of shit, called it "reasonable doubt" and basically lied his way to an acquittal. Seeing parents get beat up and cry on the stand helped Casey's cause too.

I definitely think the prosecutors probably underestimated the magnitude of media attention this case was going to get. They were clearly in over their heads. But Florida, like the entire South, is lately obsessed with taxes and expenditures and it wouldn't surprise me if the prosecution kept one eye fixed on the expenses because some ancient fart in Tampa would cry about "you're spending too much of our tax dollars :weeping:"

There also isn't anything going on in America that's newsworthy or "tragic" for the media to suck the life out of, so they decided they would give us the mind control treatment by forcing this story upon us day after day, hour after hour....

someone should shoot a flamethrower at her

innocent until PROVEN guilty in this country
she had good representation thats for sure

Nancy Grace, Eat Your Heart Out: What's Next for Casey Anthony?

When Casey Anthony is released from jail on July 17, what's in store ahead?

Public scorn? A bout of seclusion? A financial bonanza? Perhaps a combination.

Perhaps in 1960 or 1970 Casey Anthony would have to run away and hide for the rest of her life, but the United States in 2011 is a different society and culture than it was 50 or 40 years ago. To be sure, a certain percentage of the country will view her as much worse than 'the cat that ate the canary and got away.' In other words, an injustice has occurred.

However, another segment will -- if not standing by her -- argue that the state failed to present an overwhelming argument -- beyond a reasonable doubt is the legal term -- that she killed her daughter, 2-year-old Kaylee, therefore she is innocent. After all, in the states, you can not sentence someone to life imprisonment -- let alone the death penalty -- if there is a reasonable doubt.

I.E., for this segment of the American public it's, Nancy Grace, eat your heart out.

Not guilty does not = 'innocent'.

It means the prosecution could not prove thier case beyond a reasonable doubt.

I believe if people would volunteer to do jury work they would learn a LOT about how jurisdiction works.

Just because you think, or wish someone has to do a long time in prison or maybe a death sentence must NEVER interfere with your judgement.

As you point out: If you cannot exclude the slightest possibility that the suspect did not do what he is accused off, you can't say he/she is guilty.

Especially if there is a death sentence in the mix.

One of the jurors said it:

If it so happens Casey Anthony is not guilty, and he voted for sending her to the death sentence, he would be guilty of helping her get murdered.
