Candy sold during Halloween "has been dedicated and prayed over by witches."

More fundamentalist nuttiness from Pat Robertson & Co.!! Lots of laughs here:

HALLOWEEN
The Danger of Celebrating Halloween
By Kimberly Daniels

CBN.com – Halloween—October 31—is considered a holiday in the United States. In fact, it rivals Christmas with regard to how widely celebrated it is. Stores that sell only Halloween-related paraphernalia open up a few months before the day and close shortly after it ends. But is Halloween a holiday that Christians should be observing?

The word "holiday" means "holy day." But there is nothing holy about Halloween. The root word of Halloween is "hallow," which means "holy, consecrated and set apart for service." If this holiday is hallowed, whose service is it set apart for? The answer to that question is very easy—Lucifer's!

Lucifer is a part of the demonic godhead. Remember, everything God has, the devil has a counterfeit. Halloween is a counterfeit holy day that is dedicated to celebrating the demonic trinity of : the Luciferian Spirit (the false father); the Antichrist Spirit (the false holy spirit); and the Spirit of Belial (the false son).

The key word in discussing Halloween is "dedicated." It is dedicated to darkness and is an accursed season. During Halloween, time-released curses are always loosed. A time-released curse is a period that has been set aside to release demonic activity and to ensnare souls in great measure.

You may ask, "Doesn't God have more power than the devil?" Yes, but He has given that power to us. If we do not walk in it, we will become the devil's prey. Witchcraft works through dirty hearts and wrong spirits.

During this period demons are assigned against those who participate in the rituals and festivities. These demons are automatically drawn to the fetishes that open doors for them to come into the lives of human beings. For example, most of the candy sold during this season has been dedicated and prayed over by witches.

Even the colors of Halloween (orange, brown and dark red) are dedicated. These colors are connected to the fall equinox, which is around the 20th or 21st of September each year and is sometimes called "Mabon." During this season witches are celebrating the changing of the seasons from summer to fall. They give praise to the gods for the demonic harvest. They pray to the gods of the elements (air, fire, water and earth).

Mother earth is highly celebrated during the fall demonic harvest. Witches praise mother earth by bringing her fruits, nuts and herbs. Demons are loosed during these acts of worship. When nice church folk lay out their pumpkins on the church lawn, fill their baskets with nuts and herbs, and fire up their bonfires, the demons get busy. They have no respect for the church grounds. They respect only the sacrifice and do not care if it comes from believers or non-believers.

Gathering around bonfires is a common practice in pagan worship. As I remember, the bonfires that I attended during homecoming week when I was in high school were always in the fall. I am amazed at how we ignorantly participate in pagan, occult rituals.

All that has been part of why it's always been one of my favorite times of the year.

The Dark holiday.

Well yeah, sure, but still... I just can't picture Hershey's hiring a witch to stand at the end of the Kisses assembly line, where they're employed to pray over and dedicate the individually wrapped milk chocolate treats to Lucifer.

I have heard this extreme christian halloween is devil stuff before.Nobody is going to listen to them but the choir, people love halloween lol.

Like tonight, all the trick or treaters I have were mostly little ones with their parents. All of the parents are immigrants from I guess eithier Pakistan or India. They never knew jack about halloween but them and their kids are right into it once they got here.Just let Robertson and friends try to tell them and eveybody else stop going out for free candy. The answer for them would be :thefinger.

Well, of course, the obvious response Robertson would have to that is that the Indians and Pakistanis are Satan-spawn anyway, so it figures they get right into such an evil activity.

There are a lot pagan traditions celebrated at Christmas time, just like at Halloween. Christmas trees, reefs, yule logs, etc. don't have anything to do with Christianity.

Ace Bandage

The one and only.
Anything that runs contrary to what Pat Robertson agrees with is okay in my book. What a nut! This holiday is for giving costumed children Candy And letting women dress like whores or sluts for a night without being judged.

Robertson is such an asshole.

Halloween started with a group of people called the “Celts,” who lived in present day Ireland, France and England and who started their new year on November 1st.

This celebration of the “new year,” prepared the Celts for the winter ahead and was believed to have coincided with human death. So the eve of this day, which was October 31st, the Celts believed that the realms of the dead and the living would merge together.

It was also a time that they celebrated the “Samhain,” which were said to be ghosts returning to earth, to help Celtic priests predict the future. The Celts would the dress up in numerous different costumes and attempt to predict/ foretell each other’s futures.

In the early days of Christianity the church was trying to convert these pagans so the Pope declared that November 1 was All Saints Day (officially the Solemnity of All Saints and also called All Hallows or Hallowmas) in the hope that this occurrence at the same time as the pagan rituals would help in converting them. This meant that the day/night before was All Hallows eve and the term evolved over the years into Halloween and the pagan religious rituals evolved into traditions we know today.

Most of these holier than thou assholes have nothing better to do than pick on a harmless holiday that's associated with dressing up and getting candy. Robertson and Fallwell(is he still alive?) are the prime instigators of this hate-mongering bullshit that paints this holiday in a bad light.

I wonder if this Pat Robertson (whoever he might be) has a Christmas tree during Christmas...

Cutting a living tree down, to put it in his house, just to impress neighbors & other people and to make his living room a more beautiful is a bit vainglorious to me...

He probably also sings songs around a dying or dead tree on the day Jesus was supposedly born...

So he kills (or lets other people kill) a harmless living thing for a holiday celebrating the birth of our savior, just to satisfy his own pride & then he sings song to his so called savior while this dying or dead tree is standing right in front of him. :nono:

Ah, don't you just love it when the faithful attempt to get involved. It's always just the biggest barrel of laughs.

One statement in particular made me chuckle:
You may ask, "Doesn't God have more power than the devil?" Yes, but He has given that power to us.

Now isn't that just the biggest cop-out in history? :1orglaugh

These people are just so out of touch with reality its hilarious.

Doesn't matter what these holidays are derived from in the least for most people.

Halloween is about trick or treating, dressing up,watching horror movies etc.

Thanksgiving (americans only lol) is about eating, watching football and not much else lol.

Christmas is about gifts,Santa for kids, more eating, seeing family and friends.

Sure some care about the religious aspect of Christmas , but most care about the other stuff more.

It all has little relationship to what they started as being celebrations of for most IMO.
