I don't know where Shimmy (not calling you out just an example) was trolling around at to develop such a neg opinion or what his expectations were but I have zero problem with Canada nor any of it's people.

I lived in canada for almost 5 years. I've been as far west as Calgary and as far east as Montreal. My experiences are:

Its cold there
All people do is drink, by the case
People spend 40% of their day in donut shops
White people hate indians
Indians hate white people while collecting checks
They look at black people like they're alien species
Technology is generally 2 years later than US stuff (ex: iphone/sirius etc)
Gas is over $4.00/gallon for the cheap stuff (99cents/litre last i was there)
Taxes are insane. Just fucking insane
The "free health care" is only really useful if you're hospitalized for major stuff
Border inspections with 3 hour "rip yo car up" teardowns for black guys
All people talk about is hockey
People at the gym called me Obama cause i'm the only black guy in town
The french girls are very friendly
So are the italian girls
Italian girls have daddys who hate black guys even though there are none around
Lots of really fat, trucker type looking white women. Just everywhere
Clothes? Forget about it. Just go shopping in the US or get mail order
Cars? Parts? Etc... 2-3X what they cost in america. And they're all rusty
Indian girls really like black guys
When pulled over by the cops they call 5 other squad cars after finding out you're american
Where are the drugs? Is this car stolen? Who do you work for?
The court system is a joke
The highways (if you can call them that) resemble rock quarrys except for GTA
Poorly marked and sparsely lit roads from coast to coast. No rest stops etc
The lakes are very clear and nice
Deer, Moose, Bears, all sorts of wild fucking creatures everywhere on the road
Its basically 3rd world, I just dont know why they have a hard time accepting that
