Can any of you offer up some similar suggestions for me? I'll be glad to return the favor anytime if anyone wants suggestions for old album rock or outlaw country.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Ozzy O. Blizzard of Ozz - Great LP circa late '80 ish

Also - Ozzy O. - Diary of a Madman circa approx. '81

I don't know

Suicide Solution - (Song in ref to the late great Bon Scott and alcoholism, hence "solution".

Jags, you mentioned something about "Quiet Riot", well, the late great Randy Rhodes seen in the 3 videos above was the lead guitarist for QR until he got word that Ozzy was looking for a lead. Ozzy and Randy were just, well, f'in beautiful together, it would last for only 2 - 3 short years until it ended so tragically. :( RIP Randy Rhodes

Van Halen 1 in it's entirety was / is kick ass, but if I had to pick one number off of the LP it would be
"ATOMIC PUNK"

Definitely a few numbers off of Judas Priest - "British Steel" (IIRC) The one with the razor blade on the cover.

Finally, did you say outlaw country ? How about this one. !

Finally FINALLY - Green Grass & High Tides from the Outlaws themselves. :glugglug:

Let us know what you decided ~

Yeah, I was gonna suggest Nightwish, but I think he's looking for 80's old school metal. Hell, for something completely different we could tell him to listen to Mayhem and Brujería, but I don't think his friend would really appreciate that too much. ;)

Haha...true. :) Well, if we want to go 80s old school...there's always Marco's first band, Tarot. I believe he still sings with them when Nightwish is on the Nordic festival circuit.

Wow thanks to all for the input. I think I've got some material with which to work now. Andy, yes, I guess technically the dude is into 80s old-school metal as you call it.

Thanks again, one and all!!!

"I'm Broken" - Pantera
"Temptation's Wings" - Down
"Killing yourself to live" - Black Sabbath
"My Apocalypse" - Arch Enemy
"Bleed the Freak" - Alice in Chains
"Symbolic" - Death
"Rusty Cage" - Soundgarden

Yep, he's still with them. In fact, if I remember right, he's playing with them, and Tuomas and Emppu have a side project together as well. I just hope all that extracurricular crap doesn't get in the way of the next Nightwish album.

Ha! I knew I wasn't full of shit!
