Bush's Greatest Moment as Presdent.

Three lullabies in an ancient tongue
In an interview with the German weekely journal, Bild am Sonntag, our illustrious leader and commander-in-chief responded when asked what was his greatest moment as president.

I'm sure this will go down in history as one of the greatest accomplishments by any president ever....way to go, Dubya!

Yeah, it is huge.
But if there's nothing he dis durinbg the 8 years while he's been president that makes hims more proud than get a big fish, it means that he is not very proud of him as president.

In fact there's probably nothing he could be proud :
-Bin Laden and Mollah Omar are stille free
-Iraq is still at war
-Terrorism is still strong
-the "Axis of Evil" is growing stronger as Iran is getting the bomb.
etc...

So ok, the perch is probably the best he did. But he didn't needed to be prsident to get it...

And they weren't under Clinton?

And Clinton, as well as the French, Germans and Russians, didn't look like an ass after assuming Iraq had disarme din 1995, when the 3 scientist defectors in 1996 had proof that Iraq was deceiving (and were later proven true)?

And just because Clinton didn't recognize it as organized terrorism until 1998, it wasn't strong then either?

North Korea developed the bomb during the Clinton administration.
All while Clinton blindly signed a 1994 agreement that did little more than appease them and didn't even remotely stop them.

And I could easily give similiar on H. Bush, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, LBJ, JFK, etc... This is about holding W. to a higher standard than any previous President, which is why Carter is considered "in the dog house" with most fellow leaders right now.

Nice post Rush Lim.., I mean Prof Voluptary.

While you're mentioning Clinton, the point here is that if Clinton was asked what his greatest moment as president was, he wouldn't have been so stupid and devoid of PR skills as to answer by saying he caught a fish.

Rush Limbaugh is a hypocrite. So is Al Fraken. If I want some intelligent debate, I'd tune into Ben Stein, who roasted Al Fraken everytime I saw those two.

If I just want to see a guy piss everyone off, but still be right, I like Neil Boortz. Damn he doesn't pull any punches, and gets off "bed wetting Liberals" twisting what he says.

But I don't listen to any of them -- I hear Boortz maybe 15 minutes/month. I'd rather hit Google News and hit the various world papers. Although I sometimes like to read what Boortz said, and appreciate hit wit on the matter.

I still love his comments on New Orleans. Talk about insensitive, but the damn truth.

W. is a Texan. That means most people don't understand him, why he approaches situations like he does, kinda "shoots from the hip." They didn't under LBJ's either, although I'd argue LBJ was as bad as Nixon when it came to charm.

JFK, Clinton, Reagan -- they were all charismatic. No doubt there. But don't confuse charisma with actual leadership.

I like and dislike W. for the same reasons as JFK -- leadership. I like Clinton for being a conservative, at least from 1994-1998, but never liked (or voted for him) because the Clintons were crooks. LBJ was more of the same, let alone he had some serious "swing of votes" in his 1954 election. Nixon was just a paranoid liar after the 1960 election, much like Gore has now become.

I don't know if it's because many of you guys are young or you just don't know your US history (I can understand that for non-Americans). I actually think it's very humorous that W. said that was his greatest moment. And I think he said it to invoke the exact response it did from people like yourself -- knowing full well it would.

That's what a lot of Texans just do. They don't give a shit what you think.

That's precisely the kind of "leader of the free world" that we need... NOT.

Yeeeeehaaawwwww!!!!!

I would say it's was more than inevitable with the American voter. No matter what action Clinton took in the '90s, or even H. Bush in his last few years, he was chastized by the international community.

Now that same international community has their worst nightmare -- great job on bitching about Clinton! And I'll let you in on a little secret -- it ain't changing in 2008! I do believe the Democrats are going to get in ... and guess what? They ain't gonna like'em either!

I love being an American. We don't aim to please anyone. Hell, otherwise this little country wouldn't have existed in the first place! Even the French were scared as shit of us and resisted many attempts to help us in our revolution, let alone tried to claim us as a colony mid-way.

The idea of the military answering to an elected, civilian leader? What does that give you? Nothing but problems! But it's the best thing we knew of -- thank GW. Oh, I just love how Americans have always pissed everyone off! I get off on it knowing that!

Can't wait to hear you non-Americans bitch about our next President!

Rattrap

Doesn't feed trolls and would appreciate it if you
Oh, I just love how Americans have always pissed everyone off!

I honestly cannot wait for the day when the US goes the way of every other powerful country - quietly burned out, with no one else in the world so much as giving a shit. I think it would be better for the world, better for the US, and certainly better for the "Give it to me because I'm an American" mentality so many Americans have.

We're gettin' there! I'm crossing my fingers!

I got some bad news Rattrap. I'm an American and if we go down, it's not going to be quiet and we're taking some people with us ;)

Forgot to make a sarcastic comment.

That must've really been a big fish. It's not like the president to overexaggerate something.

You are reacting exactly like Brino did, you are his exact political copy. You just bash Bush. People didn't need a leader who did nothing to prevent terrorism after the first wtc bombing and the bombing USS Cole and who withdrawn of Somalia like a weak coward. People don't need people like Michael "the fat pig" Moore and his so called half truths as well as the wife of a former president who did and does nothing truely significant and positive for the new york state. People don't need leaders who show no strenght and no determination when it comes fighting terrorism.

Those are my opinions, feel free to agree or not.
