BURN NOTICE Fans? Any spy nerds?

I started to get into this show about 5 months ago, basically before the November break.

This show is seriously jockeying for TOP DOG position on my DVR. It is clever, funny and has the right mix of suspense/drama/comedy....

Any other fans of this show? It's on the USANetwork in the states, new eps on Thursday nights....

I thought about watching this show, because of Bruce Campbell, but I did not think it looked too well. It seemed like it tried too hard to seem "cool".

From Wikipedia:
Bruce Campbell as Sam Axe: An aging semi-retired intelligence operative and former Navy SEAL. With a low amount of cash-on-hand to his name, Axe spends most of his time sleeping with rich, older Miami women in exchange for food and shelter...

So I might look. I am not sure about the rest of the series though.

I got into this show last July. Really like it. Not my favorite of all time, but definately in the top 5. Couldn't hardly wait for the new season to start. (My wife hated the show, but now she is hooked...lol)

I kinda like it. I watched the show since the beginning and I gotta admit, at first my main interest was Bruce Campbell. But I started to like this show pretty quickly and now it's one of my "regulars".
To me it's not one of the best shows I've ever seen and I'm not a "spy nerd" either, but it's still pretty fun to watch.

I am COMPLETELY addicted to this show, I have season 1 on DVD, itching for season 2 DVD, and season 3 I have set on my DVR!!!

One of the best shows EVER!!!

I was expecting something entirely different in this thread ! :D

It's now unlawful to start a fire in your fireplace on the days that the gumment "claims" are "spare the air", in nature, yet let the forests burn to a crisp ? Brilliant :(

:2offtopic: :scurries away: lol

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
I find that most USA shows aren't half bad, but they don't have the appeal to keep me watching. When I first saw that show Psych, I was like "I think I found a new shooooow to waaaaatch!!!" But, after 2 or 3 episodes, I didn't want to watch it anymore.

Oh, I havent seen Burn Notice yet, but I've heard good things.

I love it, and my wife likes it too, which is good. Just got the first season on DVD and plan to get them as they come out.

Michael Westin: "You can learn a lot about a person by knowing what they want. But if what they want happens to be in a wooden box that you're not allowed to open, you might have to turn the trunk of your car into a makeshift x-ray machine."

"In a fist fight, you have to be careful not to break all the little bones in your hand on someone's face, that's why I like bathrooms, lots of hard surfaces."

My wife and I love that show though we didn't get into it until half way into the first season. Though when USA aired a marathon at one point we set the DVR and caught up! Lost of wit and humor and generally just a well written show.

Right here!! That show is awesome!! I like the way they take a new spin on an old genre...ie spy thriller...

The first season finished a couple of weeks ago on FX in the UK. Watched it from the first episode and was hooked.

I think this is a show that doesn't dilute upon multiple viewings. It gets better, if anything.

Bruce Campbell's character -- Sam Axe -- is hilarious, clever, complex...CHARLES FINLEY! He's a little more than a beach bum FBI washout.

Fiona is awesome. She has these crazy looks, facial expressions...she has some great lines too.

It's in my Top3 shows right now.

I could've sworn that they hire pornstars to be background chicks too. I swear Gianna was in the Season 2 episode "Rough Seas" and the pirate bar, wearing a bikini...just a glimpse but I think it's her.

Glad to see the FO's community embracing the show. Facetious...maybe let the gov't conspiracy stuff rest a bit and have some fun for a change.

Not everything our country does is a mistake...
