oh btw, you can mod macs just like regular PCs... just remove the electronics from the case and go nuts!
Not really, it's way harder to upgrade a Mac than a PC. And it's impossible to build a Mac. With trial, error, and Google since Windows 95 days I can build computers with ease now. My current setup is slow for today's standards, but I'm waiting for some more Vista upgrades until I build my next hi end machine.
Pentium 4 3.4gh 775 with big Zalman cooler
MSI 915PNeo2
1 gig ram (forgot which brand)
Drives are all WD
500 gig hard drive
200 gig hard drive
2 250 gig hard drives
320 gig Mybook external
LITEON DVD-RW drive and DVD-ROM drive
Sound Blaster XFI Extreme (awesome for music)
6600GT 128mb graphics card
Logitech G15 keyboard and G7 mouse
And an 600 or 800 watt power supply (forgot which brand)
All packed in the greatest case ever, the Thermaltake Armor
Some extra LED's and an 18" Samsung LCD with sound reactive lights on it
And Logitech Z-5300 speakers
I think I have everything. I'm not a gamer, but the Logitech gaming keyboard has macros and lights while the gaming mouse has rechargeable batteries and a 2000dpi laser so I'd recommend those to anyone.
