Brett Favre retires.....again....

wouldnt be shocked if he comes back as usually. I kinda think he is done for sure after the way the 2nd half went last year. All in all, Ill believe he is retired when I see it.

Maybe, the Chicago Bears can pick him up, better than Orton, or Grossman

I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets hold onto his contract, or at least hold onto it until the last second before they have to bring other people in just in case he decides to come back yet again.

I'd rather hear more about steroids in baseball than another Brett Favre love fest.

Thats how much I'm sick of this guy!

No doubt, more Farve drama

Yup, and this just in....
MIAMI—Former MLB star and admitted steroid user Jose Canseco extended an informal invitation Monday to over 500 current and former professional baseball players, requesting their presence at his house this coming weekend for his annual steroid party.

"Hey guys, big steroid bash at my place," Canseco said while handing out flyers at a Toronto Blue Jays spring training intrasquad game. "Nothing too fancy, just a bunch of guys, hanging out, taking steroids. Tell your friends.
Amazing how a boxcar can jump tracks, This is going to be a good thread, I can tell :jester:

I think it's funny he asked the Jets to release him before he said he was just going to retire. Why would they be that stupid? I like how everyone got pissed off at the Packers for what happened last year and it was "their fault". And now Favre is trying to pull the same crap with the Jets. I hope he does the whole thing over again so everyone can see it really was all his fault and he never wanted to play for the Packers last year anyways, and all because he is having a temper tantrum because they didn't get Moss. Wah wah what the hell did they need him for anyways? If it wasn't for Mr. career INT leader they would have made it to the SuperBowl last year.

Of course this clown will be back. He wouldn't even be "retiring" this time if the Jets hadn't dumped their coach.

He might try to get Jerry Jones to sign him as a "mentor" to Romo but then he'll backstab and sandbag Romo and become the Cowboys starter....that would be my guess.

the Jets will not do well next yera unless they bring a veteran QB. I already had a feelin he was gonna retire but i still feel that he has atleast 1-2 more years left in him but no more than that i just hope that this time when he leaves he doesn't cum back so that ppl dont start 2 talk bad about him. he's too good of a player and person 2 have the media make bad jokes and comments about him

I think he'll stay retired this time. He had a great career, hold almost every passing record. It's time to call it quits for good. That's one thing I hate about people who hold records, they never know when to stop. Gretzky did it, same with Jerry Rice and now Bret Favre.

Happy retirement Brett! We'll see you back next year! :wave2:

I read things stating those two didn't get along as well as they appeared to the outside and part of the reason they fired him was to keep Favre happy. If that's true it must suck even worse for him to just retire again, especially if he really does end up somewhere else.

The wiley character that he is, I firmly believe Brett test-drives his retirement strategy by masquerading as one or more of the several members here at FreeOnes who belabor us with their melodramatic "farewell, I'm leaving—should I stay or should I go" threads.

His latest "final countdown" thread, perhaps, along with a little help from mates Cleveland Crosby, Gin-mill Stills, Nash-Rambler, and Jung... #4 retires from the N - Y - Js—what for?!
